My first five ttrpgs in the order I played them: 1. Gamma World 2. Marvel Super Heroes 3. Star Wars D6 4. Talislanta 5. Call of Cthulhu (+Champions, Cyberpunk 2020, and Paranoia, all overlapping -- not quite sure if CoC was first.)

After that it's kind of a miasma, difficult to say when before when: Vampire, Cyberpunk 2012, MERP, Talislanta, Paranoia, Toon, Cyberspace (my Cyberspace character was Lenny Kravitz IV, great great grandson of our Lenny Kravitz)

just picked up my dog to snuggle her and she farted and now my eyes are stinging this is worse than star wars episode 9

if a man farts in bed and his wife doesn't hear it can she still get mad about it asking for a friend

i've had this album running on repeat in my skull since 1986 so that should tell you a bit about how much patience i have

when i get "wrong number" scam texts i've started asking them for money right out of the gate. gonna start sending them my venmo qr

I was tempted to pirate HP, curiosity and all that. But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.

been watching the very excellent "blue lights" so of course i've started absorbing an irish accent and my wife is fully irritated with it

Before I moved to Melbourne, I looked around the net to see if I could find anything interesting going on with shakuhachi. I discovered that there was one guy--David Brown--who was making beautiful wooden ones, and not only that, he also taught aikido.

I honestly don't know how it got into the queue but okay. After 13 minutes of being reminded of a different, better version of a A Different World, I remembered that the act of my watching was probably putting money in the pocket of an unrepentant rapist, so I noped out.

I feel that we need to re-set your expectations regarding me more towards "prepared for disappointment."

it's infuriating that adobe acrobat turns on gen ai after i explicitly turned it off _twice_. i don't want your stupid app polluting my browser with dumbass features like "summarize this web page." read the room, respect my time, or chew on my shit.

An AI flyer is a brown M&M test. If your event or business is cutting corners by using an AI flyer, where else are you cutting corners? What else are you cheating out on? Why should I be bothered to go somewhere you couldn't be bothered to promote with a little of your own personality?

Generals gathered in their masses / Just like witches at black masses / Evil minds that plot destruction / Sorcerers of death's construction

Hey, remember that time when I admitted that I switched out your shampoo with Nair? You don't? Well, now we have a new shared memory to laugh about!

I’ve heard both Dennis Muren and Phil Tippett, in the pre-AI years, lament young artists who only ever worked from other movies as reference as opposed to going out in the world and experiencing things. How the hell will AI ever replace that?

WE DID IT ✊ WMF US workers voted 158 YES to 14 NO: 91.9% of ballots cast, with 81% turnout. We could not have done it without the solidarity of Wikimedia volunteers. We stand with our UK siblings in their recognition process now and with future organizing efforts across WMF's 🌍 workforce

sorry demographic collection bots but all the films that came out when i was 20 are pretty "meh" to me so i don't have a favorite

I got stuck on Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't Rear the Reaper" today (outro to today's episode of Reacher) so I read up on it. The writer is appalled that people think it's about a murder-suicide pact. However, reading the lyrics, that's -exactly- what it is. I can't see any other interpretation.
