Is there a good way to get an estimate of how many actual humans are looking at my websites? Server logs just show all traffic and trying to sort out the difference between crawlers and humans is all but impossible. Ideally something less creepy and more privacy-friendly than Google Analytics!

As in, when people try to fish for genuine criticism to improve, people come up with literally nothing. People align with a team without trying to improve. The hate is the end goal.

A big part of conservative worries and irritations are not because they hate the people they target, it's because they think it's fiction that people shouldn't indulge in. Practice shows this greatly reduces when people know people.

In big cities, you need everything encoded in laws exactly because almost nobody knows anyone else personally. In the middle of nowhere you don't need 95% of these things because you would usually deal with these things in person. If you start locally, the top level becomes mostly irrelevant.

I sometimes joke but honestly pretty seriously that the fix to US polarisation issues is better urbanism, for the simple reason that people don't meet up across ideological boundaries anymore. We don't understand people who think differently as people. And any dehumanization is a form of fascism.

As a Bahรก'รญ I have been diving into the reasons behind the "No Politics" in the Bahรก'รญ faith, and most of that is "No Party Politics", and the main reason seems to be exactly this: we need to get together and actively improve things, and not band together to beat down ANY group of people that we see
