I generally don't get all political on social media, but as I just got back from a trip to Belgrade, my thoughts will be with all my Serbian friends this weekend during their upcoming elections. I can't do much from afar, but I'm hoping things go smoothly.

Why I wasn't worried about any of my personal sites today ☺️

Today the PHP project released security updates addressing two critical "PHP2Shell" vulnerabilities. If your site is hosted on Automattic infrastructure, you’re already protected. Managing PHP yourself? Here’s what to do: automattic.com/2026/10/21/y...

Yesterday, WordPress Studio announced its new agentic desktop experience. I've been testing it for the past few weeks, and I have to say, it's pretty amazing. I no longer have to use Claude or Codex to build out my WordPress plugins or themes. wordpress.com/blog/2026/0...

If you use WordPress and never tried WordPress Studio (especially the beta) you're missing out on its AI features. I just took it for a spin to restyle my blog using a blog theme on a cheap WordPress.com personal plan and it did a great job.

Many (many) moons ago, I hosted a podcast where I chatted to folks about their WordPress development story. I had a great time on those episodes, but as my career changed, my focus on podcasting waned.

Now, I want to talk to WordPress developers again, but this time, I want to hear about their journey with AI, how they're using it, what they think about it, and how they see the future of WordPress development through the lens of AI. If you're interested, let me know...

I watched this with my family last night, and it was a proud moment to be part of a group of people who feel so strongly about open source and the open web.

The internet belongs to all of us. Today, we prove it. Code for the People, a documentary short about the open web from the people who built it, is now available. Stream it for free. For freedom. For the future. #OpenSource #OpenWeb #DocumentaryShort

#WordPress Studio is officially my preferred local WP dev environment. Zero dependencies, custom domains & SSL, database access, PHP & WP version switching, Xdebug, every OS. I wish all other PHP software were this easy to run locally. Check it out at wordpress.studio.
