up the transcription with the video, audio, and the backend information for every word is great. It seemed like this could be an interesting platform to explore for other language learning as well as expanding accessibility in written and spoken word. pretalx.seagl.org/2026/talk/AN...
Great keynotes to lead off #SeaGL2026. If you missed out, check out secretcodes.dev from @mariatta.ca and Toby Betts recommended archive.org/details/theu... to help increase our understanding of the linux systems we use. #linux #seagl #seattle
There once was a conference called SeaGL, Filled with very interesting people. They'll fork and they'll merge, Feel the open source urge, But this last rhyme is still stuck in beta. No really, #SeaGL2026 this Friday and Saturday at the University of Washington. FREE! seagl.org #poem #linux

@royeltham.bsky.social I have been enjoying Alien Legacy again, but keep hitting an error (a divide by 0 issue during some saves). I know this is a long shot, but does the source code still exist anywhere? This is one of my all time favorites and I would love to try and fix it. #gamedev

I just submitted my proposal for the Seattle GNU Linux Conference, have you? There are still couple days left. If you use open-source software you should come talk about it. Take the weekend and get your proposal in. @seagl.org #linux #seattle #UW #opensource @lfnw.org seagl.org/news/2026/04...

The idea: Corporations with over 500 employees or over $50 million in revenue MUST convert to a Public Benefit Corporation. Early formed companies choose their benefit, all others must champion education, environment, and infrastructure. Details at acra.johnsonfarms.us @rbreich.bsky.social

Concerned about Washington's privacy? HB 2320 & 2321 would mandate that 3D printers spy on your files and reject designs the government doesn't approve of. ataary.com/oppose/ This isn't public safety, it's surveillance. Oppose HB 2320 & HB 2321. 🚫 #WashingtonState #TechFreedom #3dprinting

Made a pen plotter for under $20 and some 3d printed parts. It serves up a whole web server, just connect, draw, and plot. No drivers or installs for the user, just open a browser. Full writeup here hackaday.io/project/2045... #cnc #3dprinting #esp32 #penplotter #stem
I've been working on a tool to add scientfic data from PubChem, ChEMBL, RDKit and others into OpenWebUI. It watches for keywords and makes an API request to the appropriate service and includes the scientific data in your prompt for the model. #openwebui #ollama #llm github.com/johnsonfarms...
Been on a journey messing with conductive PLA for 3d printing. I was seeing if I could print a fuse (because why not melt plastic into your projects), but ended up with a fairly decent resistor. hackaday.io/project/2042... #electronics #3dprinting
Interesting discussion from @withenoughcoffee.com at #SeaGL2025 on AI bias, how to improve it, and why we need to be deliberate in how we use AI systems.

Great keynote from @evan.cosocial.ca.ap.brid.gy at #SeaGL2025. I will definitely be diving into the #fediverse to learn more.
I am trying to learn how AI works, so I am building my own from scratch. Just to add some fun, I am also fitting it on an esp32, and making it a Shakespearean character. Trained on open source data, just mention @constabledogberry.bsky.social to get a reply. #esp32 #STEM github.com/johnsonfarms...
@bsky.app There is an issue with the search function, in the app and the API. When sorting by latest for a hashtag like #SeaGL2025, if there is a pinned post it messes up the order of the results. You can sort locally after a pull but with small hardware it's an issue. #BlueskyBugs #BlueskySupport
Its really quite simple Sign up for #TeaGL At the upcoming #SeaGL To meet interesting people Just don't be a creeple #SeaGL2025 #poetry #tea #linux @seagl.org
So anyone else going to #SeaGL2025? This is my first go. Is a digital name tag with live hashtag updates for the event too nerdy or over the top? Like what level of nerd-core is appropriate? @seagl.org #gnu #linux
Make your own weather station project. This uses the Lilygo T-Display with the ESP32, wifi and bluetooth. It costs about $10 and has probably a million other uses, but this was a quick easy project. Get the code and the details at github.com/johnsonfarms...
