I’m well aware it isn’t #albumalmanac #weekendsingles but I have to share this. Our son just came back from Copenhagen and said “ I found a great record shop Dad and couldn’t leave this there, it’s for you”. Made me cry. Family is everything. 😭❤️

Hi #weekendsingles was just going through one of my old singles boxes and found a load of old flexi discs stashed inside a Gary Numan sleeve!! Never easy to play these things was it?, I could never find a penny to stop them sliding. 😀

A cheeky delivery from Joel @brighterdayvinyl.bsky.social Ta Joel. Had this album from new but an ex gf pinched it 🤣. Nice to get again. X Ray Spex, I’d never seen before so looking forward to hearing that. Enjoy your wedding celebrations. Sundays are gonna be Antiques Roadshow for a while…. 🥸

For the #weekendsingles crowd… anyone used to have this from the small ads in the NME etc…?? Just found it in a bag in the garage. Oldies unlimited. Vinyl sellers way back when…

Hi fellow #weekendsingles people. Just looking for a new turntable and after recommendations really. Really want an auto return this time. All ideas very welcome. Thank you. Pic is my latest acquisition. Produced by none other than Trevor Horn!

Just found these in the garage from ‘82/3. #Softcell t shirt from the first time I saw them live at Derby Assembly Rooms. Memorabilia T was made by my then gf.

Finally(!) found a #ladderax system for my #weekendsingles and albums. Time to get organised!! Alphabetically?? Genres??? Tbh, I really don’t know where to start. 😂😂

Morning all at #weekendsingles. Picked this little beauty up this week. A miss-press promo from the John Peel collection. The A side actually plays The Heart Medley. Quite an oddity added to my Marc collection.

#12inchtuesday picked this up recently. Vicious Pink Phenomena -My Private Tokyo promo. Backing singers on Soft Cell’s debut album , Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret. Dave Ball produced it. Had it on 7” back then but a gf took it. 🤬

Good morning #weekendsingles. Here’s a few that I picked up recently. Not really a fan of EBTG but adored this back in ‘84. Likewise The Associates. What a voice Billy had. 🕶 The Kraftwerk single I simply couldn’t resist!

Morning #weekendsingles a couple of early Blondie records from me when they were on Private Stock. The Blondie promo arrived this week in time for #albumalmanac. Love X Offender.

Hello #weekendsingles Tried to buy the 12” of this on RSD but the scalpers beat me to it. 🤬 I refuse to pay £150 on eBay. It’s ridiculous. Once again greed prevails. Will just have to make do with these I bought way back then….

Bumped into the most beautiful Black Oil Beetle in the garden today. Quite rare and protected apparently. Amazing life cycle how the young hitch a ride on mining bees to eat their pollen. #nature #wonderfulwildlife

I know it’s not #weekendsingles and this isn’t a #12inchtuesday record but this is my best mate Ad, since 1968. He’s 4 years gone now and these are his records he left me. It’s his birthday today. Miss you Ad. ❤️😭

youtu.be/W_H7QykJ53g?... The best Simple Minds song ever imho. Looking forward to reading the book. 🕶

To my friends at #weekendsingles my daughter Emily took me to see Bastille this week. It was incredible. What was more incredible was the fact that she was on the cover of the album we bought there! She’s in good company as my sister was on the cover of Too Much Too Young! What’s the chances?? ❤️

Hi #weekendsingles. Deeply saddened by the loss of Dave Ball this week. His music genuinely changed my life. An absolute genius, he will be greatly missed but not from my turntable. From Soft Cell’s first outing with money borrowed from Dave’s mum to a brief stint in The Mambas as Lance Rock , he

Continued to entertain even for a short spell in ‘84 with wife Gini in Other People. I once found copies of his album cover, In Strict Tempo on a recycling factory floor and had to save them from being thrown. Will miss your music Dave.
