Out today! I popped into my local @waterstones.bsky.social and saw my new book in real life for the first time. It’s a fun guide for 8–12-year-olds that explains what's going on behind the screen when they go online. I really feel I've made the kind of book I’d have read cover-to-cover as a kid.
First #weeknotes of 2026: Getting off to a good start and thanks to @dougbelshaw.com for getting me thinking about AI literac(ies) www.linkedin.com/pulse/weekno... @weeknotes-bot.bsky.social
Great stuff in this article, including: "Literacies develop through actual participation in the world, not instruction about it. That begins where you are. In your classroom, your home, your community, your organisation. Not with waiting for better policy."
If AGI is already here, why are we still treating AI as a future "school problem"? New post on emotional AI and AI literacies (plural) that develop across classrooms, families, and communities – not just in "safety" lessons. blog.dougbelshaw.com/agi-literaci...
