In the year of 2026? Free idea: make k8s communicate with AI prompts

Sam Rose@samwho.dev

TIL that k8s communicates with whatever container runtime you’re using (containerd, docker, whatever) using gRPC.

My boss has a tendency to wait till the last demo before we give the project to the customer, pull some features nobody has ever talked about from his ass, say that we need to re-design/implement half the project and act like the fact that now i have an additional week of work - is my fault

I’m using: I-Need-Food-Driven-Development Mortgage-Driven-Development I-want-to-afford-pizza-sometimes-Driven Development

Why’s your handle invalid? What did you do?

Working on a big update for FragCoord. I'm adding a Pro subscription which will give early access to features, the first being tutorial creation (integrated shader editor). Pro will help with quality control and help support development

At this point what’s left in Sass that isn’t in CSS yet? Mixins?

MDN Web Docs@developer.mozilla.org

CSS nesting is now Baseline 🎉 Write nested selectors directly in CSS — just like Sass, but natively. .card { color: black; &:hover { color: blue; } .title { font-weight: bold; } } No preprocessor needed. Learn more 👇 developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/...

I’ve been promised a promotion in January but I’m still waiting for it. This sucks ;( I’ve been working here for 1.5 years and i haven’t had salary adjusted even tho i basically oversee all the infra and devops in addition to being full stack

I’m lucky I have a job with everything going on in the world but at the same time fuck this shit. Why can’t my dreams come true? Why do I have to work so hard to get anything? Why can’t I be happy?

We are in the age where nobody is making anything better

Desperately, desperately fighting against this. Still cautiously optimistic it’s a strategy that will pay off commercially. @jason.energy had my favourite pithy quote on this: “My hottest take is that AI brought out the absolute worst in mediocre people.”

EXCUSE ME I HAVE ALL MY HAIR AND WILL MASTURBATE TO A CAR ALARM REMIXED BY SEVERAL DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES SO THAT I MAY ENJOY THE UNIQUE TIMBRE OF EACH Signed, guy that has actually worked on a sex toy synchronization script for the gantz graf video

This reads to me similar to “If you think poisoning people is wrong […] Skipping poisoning people is not gonna help you or your career […] Try poisoning few of them for few weeks and test your beliefs” No! You are entitled to your opinion. If you don’t want to use LLMs - don’t use it.

This from antirez is what I've been feeling for a long time but have been unable to express: > I have a single suggestion for you, my friend. Whatever you believe about what the Right Thing should be, you can't control it by refusing what is happening right now. antirez.com/news/158

bad ux, 3/4 ways of doing similar but not compatible with other features. small docs, lack of examples. hard to extend. but also maintainers lack practicallity, not helpful env to contribute... and literally all projects depending on it
