Voting day in BC is Saturday, October 24. 🗳️ Less than 8% of the world’s population lives in a full democracy. Democracy is messy, but it only works if we show up. Get out and vote, BC. 🇨🇦 #BCPoli #BCElection

Great summer vibes at the first annual Forks n’ Tunes Food Festival in #Parksville! 🎶🍔 Great to see the Coastal Community Credit Union parking lot and Memorial Plaza come alive with amazing food, great music, and a fantastic community feeling.

A beautiful day to officially open the restored labyrinth in Parksville Community Park. Big thanks to the volunteers who brought their vision to Council and to everyone who helped re-create this special place. A lasting gift for our community. #Parksville #Labyrinth

June 1 is #WildSalmonDay It's hard to think British Columbia without thinking Salmon! Wild salmon need cold, clean water. But when rivers and oceans warm, get polluted, or blocked, their survival is at risk. Let's protect wild salmon for now and future generations. wildsalmonday.com

Wheels up for Ottawa on my way to join more than 2,000 municipal leaders from across Canada gathering to learn, collaborate, and advocate. #CDNmuni #StrongerTogether #LocalGov #FCM2025AC

What’s better? Setting up rules and procedures and then hiring people who are good at following them or Hiring people with good character, judgment, and ability to execute and giving them the freedom to deliver?

Thanks to all the Canadians who cast a ballot this election. Voting is important …but ideally it’s just the first step. Democracy depends on people getting involved where they live. There are many awesome organizations that do good work. Go join one!

Thanks to the other candidates who put their names forward to represent our riding: Brian Cameron, Thomas Gamble, Teresa Knight, Chris Markevich, Kris McNichol, and Jesse Musial

Congratulations to incoming Prime Minister Carney. Lots of important work to be done. Let’s come together, roll up our sleeves, and build a thriving Canada. 🇨🇦

As Canadians head to the polls, remember that we live in a representative democracy. That means that the individual candidate you vote for matters. This person will be your voice in caucus and in Parliament. Make sure you elect someone who will do your community proud. #cdnpoli

Cast my ballot today 🇨🇦 🗳️ Remember to consider the character and competence of the individual who will represent you in Parliament.

Usual question for Canadian federal election debates… Why does the leader of a party that runs ZERO candidates outside of Quebec get equal time with NATIONAL party leaders???? #cdnpoli

Another successful AVICC convention in Nanaimo! It's a great opportunity to network with local government people from across Vancouver Island and coastal communities, debate policy, learn new things, and sharpen my skills to deliver for #Parksville.

Attending the Federation of Canadian Municipalities meetings virtually this morning (and yesterday). #FCM serves as a vital platform for municipalities across Canada to advocate to the federal government. In these times, collaboration has never been more crucial! 💪

Don't believe the people who tell you that we need to fight each other to get the biggest possible slice of a fixed pie. When we work together we make a bigger and better pie.

British Columbia's population growth has big impacts on housing, infrastructure, and our economy. Here are the trends over the past few years and a look at expected near term growth👇

Wherever you stand politically, I think Canadians can be proud of the respectful, thoughtful Liberal Party leadership debate that focused on issues and substance important to all our shared future.
