Stock market has been falling continually. Why? Two primary reasons: > In this unusual global environment though, current reactions to India are increasingly being driven by our arrogant attitude to foreign capital and the lack of ease of doing business. www.msn.com/en-in/money...

msn.comNever seen such dismay: Why a 36-year market veteran is warning IndiaIndia's journey from a closed economy to a global investment hub has faced rising dismay among Foreign Portfolio Investors due to governance issues, taxation policies, and lack of ease in doing business.

Reading this book As an introvert, I am terrible at asking. Linda lays out, in an easy-to-understand format, how to know what you want and ask for it boldly. The book is full of: - questions - checklists - exercises I’ll be asking a lot.

Restarting developing my hobby project after exhausting OpenCode Go limits over the weekend. Let me see how it goes. I learn new things every day when I'm hands-on in using these AI tools.

This is how my OpenCode Go dashboard looks like now. Already exhausted weekly limit Waiting for it to reset in a day :-( Can't use Hermes over the weekend

Exhausted Opencode Go weekly limit Switched to free models for #hermes Surprisingly I don’t see any deterioration of overall performance Though I see chatty messages Don’t know if it is a function of Hermes itself or of underlying model

Developing this new app (taletoreel) completely using agents: • slack as interface • Hermes as agent • OpenCode Go as model provider As of now only landing page is here; Will share more as I go along What specifics would you want to know?

People keep declaring death of Indian IT industry. It keeps earning its place in investor's portfolio. As I have said again and again, Indian IT will not just survive, rather it will thrive. (Last week's news as compiled by my #hermes agent)

I used to spend hours reading different portals for relevant market news. Now #hermes does the job. Every Sunday, it picks the news and stores it in my Obsidian vault with citations (so I can read more if needed). One more banal manual task eliminated thanks to agents.

We are cows of the future — Harari No. We have creative capability. We have done this before. We will do it again. When you remove “imago dei,” this is what we end up with.

What surprised me in all these: My time goes to deciding, reviewing plans, and saying no. The agent does the mechanical work and catches what I miss.

As a CTO, this is the only way I can build hands-on experience and develop insights rather than reading hyped-up influencers thought-leadership pieces. I know: What works What doesn't work What still needs human capabilities ...

After it generates code, it runs tests. If the tests pass it will tell me to test the code. Then I will test it and give feedback (again via slack). 90% of them this goes ok Some times the feature doesn't work as I expect.

If a feature doesn't work then another round of chatting back and forth happens to clarify the expectation.

This results in a PRD and other documents. At the end of a thread, I will ask the agent to document as well as to create a hand-off message. With a hand-off message, I move to a new thread. (After 100 - 120 messages the cost goes up and possibility of drift also goes up)

When "doing" comes, I am not so attached to my laptop. I pick up my mobile and instruct the agent as I move around. I ask it to create a task.md for each feature; I ask it to be sure of each task item. Then I ask it to generate code, while I am busy elsewhere.

When I have a "thinking" job, I sit on my computer and chat with the agent (via slack). Thinking Job = what is the product, JTBD, what it shouldn't be etc. This goes back and forth Often this will have >150 messages or so

All the product code lives under produce/hermes/products When I start coding a product, hermes creates a new folder under this main folder. Everything related to the products goes here.

Why Slack? Because with slack, I don't have to expose any port from opalstack. Hermes uses Socket Mode mode to connect to slack So no public exposure of Hermes It doesn't eliminate security threats; but reduces it to a large extent.

What is this graph depicting? - Stock market loss - Weight loss - Cognitive loss with AI - All of the above - None of the above

USV mapped mobile primitives in 2009. I’ve asked the same question for AI: chat, models, RAG, data, agents. Each is useful alone. Together, they create new behaviors no one predicted. Solomon was right: nothing new under the sun. But there are new combinations.

ChatGPT tries to be too helpful, and in doing so, it complicates simple tasks. It’s like an investment agent who keeps talking smoothly to get more money from you the longer you keep talking.

I’ve been running my life on four pillars—WINS: Wealth, Insights, Network, and Self. Hermes helps me with each of these. I wrote a series of blog posts on how I use Hermes: www.jjude.com/tech-notes/... I also edited and wrote a mini guide on my usage. Hope you find it useful: jjude.in/hermesguide
