They say you should never meet your heroes, you'll just be disappointed. I say, 'then you need better heroes'. Pete and Bas are two of the kindest, funniest, classiest human beings I've ever met. You'd never guess they are hard-core rappers if you didn't already know. #fuckcancer #igotthis

Getting to see my fave musicians who also happen to be personal heroes of mine. Seeing them in the UK in 2 weeks, then in Portland and Seattle in October. Absolutely STOKED.

@rexparker.bsky.social You know rap better than me... is there anyone other than Pete and Bas rapping about crosswords in their songs? Do any of them make it sound this badass? Full line: Hop in a cab and I'm banging me crossword / Heading to West and I'm banging a posh bird

In a different song: Walk outside with a pint and a pasty Crossword in the back of the taxi All these birds looking at me And you know I know why (Exactly) I read that Bas (the taller one) hasn't missed a daily XW in more than 50 yrs!

OMG.... Control-alt (ought)-delete. What you resort to when the thing you're dealing with isn't doing what you want. Their wordplay is top-shelf.

Drinks all round Just chuck 'em on the bar tab Tip to waiter, 'Have a nice a day' Ice in the pail of the champagne Cava Text from a side piece "on my way- Been a little while ain't seen you lately, How's your father?" Cut to the chase [dance moves ensue]

If anyone had ever told me that I'd spend nearly $3K to fly to the UK for a concert to watch a couple white guys in their 70s do hardcore gangster (with the 'r') rap, I'd have said you were nuts. I hate rap music, but these guys are so good, it doesn't matter. They're better than your fave rappers.

Come on, then, shake a leg This one'll make you bang your head Back then I could've lost meself, but then I picked me feet up and I danced again. -Pete (of Pete and Bas), cancer survivor. Rap god.

I’m on a cruise right now, with folks from USA, Canada, Australia, UK, and other places. It’s surreal. The Canadians are showing off our nationality with Canadian flags on the cabin doors, tshirts, lapel pins, etc. The Americans seem ashamed to admit it.

How is “Skeleton Crew “ so highly rated? I watched both available episodes, waiting for it to improve and now I want those 2 hours back. Utter garbage.

I'm proud to call Annie Hergott my friend. She's an amazing woman and a force for good in Calgary.

The history of BRHMS is a story of one remarkable woman's refusal to accept intolerance in the workplace - and how she and a small group of visionaries created a vibrant, fast-growing community of handbell musicians in Calgary. See the story and timeline here. www.bowriverbells.com/brhms-history

'd like to imagine that a movie of my life would be scored by John Williams or Hans Zimmer, but I know it would have to be Danny Elfman

Fun way to spend the afternoon: put "MAGA" or "Trump" or other such term in the search bar. Discover accounts that exist just to troll or spread hate or "own the libs". Notice how few followers they have, smile, then block them.

Is it possible that Agent Orange doesn't really care whether Gaetz is appointed or not - but selected him just to see HOW loyal his GOP minions are by whether or not they vote yes? Or - maybe Gaetz is there so the other idiots don't look all that bad by comparison and more of them get in...

Danielle Smith once said that her political hero is Ron DeSantis. Now she wants to go to DC to be at Trump's inauguration. Alberta voters, this should be all you need to know about her, just in case you were wondering. VOTE HER OUT.

I'm up for discussion with folks that have different viewpoints. But if I look up your profile and there's no actual viewpoints, but just hate speech and trolling then it's BLOCK TIME. You aren't here to discuss, just to annoy. I got no time for that BS.

When you make a once-in-a-lifetime trip to an amusement park halfway around the world from where you live, you do NOT let a torrential downpour stop you from riding all the coasters!

Ever seen a "moonbow"? It's a rainbow, but made in the middle of the night, when the sky is clear and the full moon is bright enough and there's enough mist in the air. Extremely rare to catch one. This one happened at Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Sept 13, 2019
