I had the EXACT same fear of becoming a dad. I was terrified I’d screw the whole thing up. Now I’d argue being a dad is the thing I am the best at in the world. That was such strong advice from the Dr.

In 2019, Darren Wayman was about to become a new father. He was terrified. Then, a doctor came into the delivery room and said something that changed his perspective on parenthood.

Oh! I figured this out. I had string interpolation in a className but this error didn’t make that clear. Through trial and error I figured it out, but the error that threw had little or nothing to do with the true problem. That was annoying

Even applying a url in a style tag breaks it. Super weird. Will keep digging

Decision made, I'm gonna do this

Should we rename our schedule verbiage away from "Week" to "Event"? "Event 01" "Event 02" "Current Event" "Previous Events" Week 13 can get confusing because our in-sim "weeks" are really "days"

This platform is objectively terrible. Some good eggs in here, but through sheer ignorance and/or stubbornness are weaponizing pure evil. Ironically preaching against perceived evil. Pot, meet kettle. I introduce to you: Bluesky

depends what you find interesting. the vast majority of the musicians/writers/reporters/foodies/scientists etc that made X interesting (to me) — in other words, the creatives — have very largely abandoned ship. if you only care about tech and don't mind being part of the fascism machine, X is fine

I remember when we used to have healthy debates. I remember when live and let live carried the day. Weaponized compassion is something I never thought I’d see one day

The replies to this really makes me sad. All these people (and it literally looks like it’s all of the people) replying to this have so much hate in their hearts. Two wrongs don’t make it right

While using Apple’s automatic dictation feature to send messages, some iPhone users reported seeing a peculiar bug: the word "racist" temporarily appearing as "Trump," before quickly correcting itself.

Linux users please unite for a Windows friendly distribution for folks who don’t use their PC to make money. It should be as close to the same as stock Windows as possible without all this crap.

Am I the only one who keeps having url's break on my with @tailwindcss.com v4? Maybe the Vite plugin? Maybe my syntax? But this is annoying. Breaks font imports as well as this command: ``` bg-[url(/images/hero_image.jpg)] ``` I've tried several versions of this, too. 4.0.8 - React Router 7.2.0

We as a society have a blind spot with our time management. We spend way more time, energy and effort in scheduling events and too little time scheduling them to end. Why doesn't Google calendar tell me "your meeting is scheduled to end in 10 minutes"? Am I the only person who suffers from this?

@kentcdodds.com I’m curious about if you have any opinions about tech firms who choose to keep discrete front end and back end teams how best to leverage modern React? For instance there’s no framework I’m aware of that can maximize a Rust or Go backend

I know it's passe to admit this, but I really, really like #Redux, and the job it's doing to stay relevant. It probably wouldn't be the first tool I reach for when making a greenfield app, but I absolutely enjoy using it day to day when it's configured well.

You are up to date.
