If an amendment to your constitution results in children routinely being shot in school then it's time to amend it again.

With some hard work and dedication, I've created a nice community of music lovers thanks to proactive arts programming. Looking forward to seeing some of them (and you) tonight for the 'Spooky Music Jam' at the Rogers Park Library starting at 6pm!

Unemployment has run out, and we have yet to get another TV job (though we've come close!). We have savings, but if my work means anything to you, I would really, really, really appreciate you becoming a subscriber. And now you can make me watch your favorite crap!

Episodes@episodesnewsletter.bsky.social

Not an Episodes subscriber yet? No time like the present — especially since new subscribers, from now until November 1, can force our editor-in-chief @emilystjams.bsky.social to watch, quote, "some bullshit." Details here!

Finally journalism is back

Vulture@vulture.com

‘Wicker’ stars Alexander Skarsgård as a man made entirely of wicker, complete with a rock-hard wicker dick. But what about splinters? Bacteria? Degradation? Would it be advisable, from a sexual-health perspective, to mount a basket dick? We asked a gynecologist: vulture.visitlink.me/DNQwX5

For all those Chicago folks out there, in 6 days, please come and enjoy some spooky tunes and treats at the Rogers Park Library! This should be a blast!

25 years ago, I first saw Merritt Wever in another film that satirizes the media, reality TV, and is dark, hilarious and contains a great performance by Brooke Smith. More people need to see SERIES 7: THE CONTENDERS, especially to see where Wever began. Put this one on a new Blu release ASAP.

Another cool connection: Wever recently starred Off-Broadway as Sonya in Uncle Vanya (wish I could've seen that). Not to mention that Brooke Smith gives one of the best performances ever in VANYA ON 42ND STREET as Sonya too!

We won an Emmy®️! We are proud to stand in solidarity with all our courageous librarians, true heroes, and so many others across the nation who continue to fight to defend our First Amendment rights and our Freedom to Read. This award is such an honor - and it honors them all. 📸Phil McCarten

An on-stage interview with me conducted by the legendary Rich Koz. We’ll talk about the book, the history of horror movies and more! It’ll be preceded by a meet & greet and followed by a book signing. GET TICKETS HERE: www.museum.tv NOTE: Rich will NOT be "Svengoolie" at this event.

Thank you Eckhartz Press for sending this to the Rogers Park Library. It’ll be available in the CPL system later this year and in time for a follow up event in January where I will play five clips from horror films featured in Nick Digilio’s latest work. Congrats again to @nickdigilio.bsky.social
