Agree completely with this. Don’t dish the trophies out, blank them out. This is separate from any money considerations, any redistribution of prize money, even any medals, this is about making sure the history books show the truth, forever. They cheated. www.theguardian.com/football/202...

Saw an Ipswich fan in the stands on TV before the Liverpool game last night, part of their shirt was covered, thought they were wearing a retro Everton shirt for a second. After that it was hard to unsee it…

Liverpool grab a late point in the North East, 2-2. Looked far too vulnerable on the counter attack and struggled to make enough clear cut chances. Newcastle fought hard, a draw was probably a fair result but I’m sure people will disagree! Work to do.

Really sad to hear that Kevin Keegan has passed away. My first football hero, one of my earliest memories is of being distraught at him leaving Anfield, at that age I couldn’t imagine #LFC without him. A true legend. Thoughts with his family and friends.

🚨Ibou Konaté Goodbye statement. ❤️ “Dear Liverpool. Five years ago, I arrived as a young player with big dreams. Today, I leave with memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life”.

Another departure. Official confirmation that Ibou Konate is leaving #LFC this summer. A manager is needed in place sooner rather than later, to ensure they are aligned on recruitment. A lot of it is needed, and delaying it like last year would be unacceptable. www.liverpoolfc.com/news/ibrahim...

A devastatingly low point today for Liverpool Football Club. The manager is sadly out of his depth and that’s been clear to all but the most sycophantic of fans for quite some time. He has to go, now.

Slot had no ideas what to do when City went ahead. He won the title for Liverpool, yes, it’s sad to see, yes, but he needs putting out of his misery. And it needs to happen now, before the damage becomes irreversible.

Mohamed Salah confirms he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season. 435 games 255 goals 119 assists Not bad, and there's time to add more before he departs Anfield... 👑 #LFC

All good things must come to an end. Mo Salah to leave #LFC at the end of the season. Mo Salah has been far more than a “good thing” for Liverpool FC. This season has been far from his best for the Reds, in an awful season for the Reds, but he’s still way ahead of so many other top flight players.

He’s going to be missed. In fact in many ways he already has been missed. Look at the results. Still think he has plenty to offer, maybe by playing more centrally for example, but clearly didn’t feel that could happen under the current set up. Proper #LFC legend. Fare well Mo. #EgyptianKing

I asked AI to summarise how often Arne Slot made references to tiredness, fatigue and similar in his last press conference. Every time he does this - and he does it a lot - it’s a team talk for the opposition. Does it cross his mind what it does for his own players? Enough’s enough.

As we all feared, now confirmed by the club, Conor Bradley has “sustained a significant knee injury” and “will undergo surgery in the coming days and then begin a period of rehabilitation at the AXA Training Centre. No timeframe is being placed on his return to playing at this stage of the process.”

Meanwhile the thuggish actions from Martinelli, throwing the ball at him and trying to push him off the pitch as he lay in agony on the turf, will not be retrospectively punished.

Mo Salah says he’s been thrown under the bus, that his relationship with Arne Slot has broken down. Two days later, Slot says it’s “difficult” for him to know what Salah meant or who he was talking about, that he’d “have to guess a little bit”.

Slot admits he’s only spoken to Mo once since, in front of the other players, to tell him he’s not travelling. Did it really not cross his mind, instead of guessing, to have a chat with a key player from the title win and ask why he felt the need to go public? Rhetorical question.

Disgraceful selective editing by Sky Sports News of the answers Alisson gave in the press conference to questions about Mo Salah. The clamour to demonise a player, without a single thought for the human being behind the words, is shameful.

Liverpool fans arguing with each other won’t help this crisis, spewing hate to individuals you want to blame won’t help. Nobody at the club will deliberately be giving less than their best. But the way the club has always worked is that when somebody’s best isn’t good enough it’s time to move on.

I do think the manager has taken Liverpool as far as he can. Sometimes that just happens. You hit a wall and you won’t get past it. Maybe it was a touch too early for him to take this job, maybe he needed to experience more highs and lows elsewhere first. He’s done his best but that’s not enough.

Sacking the manager is never the only solution to problems like this. Clubs who believe that just end up doing the same thing again months later. Repeatedly. So Liverpool need to take a proper look at what else went wrong, an honest look, and sort that out too. Sooner rather than later.

That doesn’t have to be done with malice, it can be done with kindness, and in time they’ll probably look back and agree that it was time. I don’t personally think Mo is finished yet, he’s certainly not our worst performing forward, but that day will come one day and we’ll all know it’s time.

Nobody has an automatic right to wear that Liverpool shirt, but nobody has the automatic right to the title of Liverpool manager. You have to earn it, and what you did before doesn’t change that. You have to keep on earning it if you want to keep it. No LFC manager should let it come to this.

Booing Newcastle fans didn’t get why Hugo Ekitike chose #LFC over them, or why Alexander Isak wanted to swap St James' Park for Anfield, just after winning the League Cup. Ambitious fans, I get it. Saudi cash rich, first trophy in their lifetimes, hungry for more. But players are ambitious too.

Too warm for that amount of breathtaking. 3-2 #LFC in the fixture that lives for high scoring one goal wins. I know people will say Liverpool didn’t deserve the win, but goals win games and all three Liverpool goals were outstanding, including that dream one well into added time!
