Sod off, Bears. NFL owners must approve the move from Chicago, IL to Indiana. Only Bears management would take an energized fan base and turn it upside down and set it on fire.

We're living in a simulation and our overlords are messing with us, aren't they?

Trump: "No president has ever taken a cognitive test except me. I've taken three of them. One in the first administration. They're hard. The first question is easy. You have a lion, a bear, an alligator, and a squirrel. 'Which is the squirrel?'"

I'm team Big Mac.

Trump’s 2nd term is a smash and grab. He doesn’t care how much of America and the world that he destroys. He’s a convicted criminal taking all he can. It is an unprecedented crisis that will require massive democratic reforms and criminal prosecution for him and those who abetted his crimes.

Good morning! Since Trump was re-elected, Forbes estimates— 💰His net worth is up $1.9 billion, to $6.2 billion 💰Eric’s is up 10x, to $400 million 💰Don Jr.’s is up 6x, to $300 million 💰20-year-old Barron is worth $150 million And Jared became a billionaire last year. Have a great day!

This gives me hope. Thank you, Hungarians! America's institutions have buckled under authoritarian stress, but we can reinforce them and hold these tyrants accountable.

Adam Schwarz@adamjschwarz.bsky.social

Orbán's electoral crushing is a far greater achievement than most people outside Hungary realise. He systemically consolidated power for 16 years, fixed the electoral map, abused govt power for political purposes & censored media. The hurdles that Hungarians overcame for this moment were immense.

I think Trump very much would like to be the first human to order a thermonuclear strike. Whether it's talk about nuking Iran, North Korea, or a hurricane, he's got a history of fantasizing about it.

Jay Kuo@nycjayjay.bsky.social

This is dangerous rhetoric in a nuclear age. As Heather Cox Richardson noted: “when Trump was warning North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on social media that North Korea would be ‘met with fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before,’ behind closed doors (1/2)

NOW: B52 bombers are literally in the air on their way to Iran and hundreds of thousands of Iranians are in the streets waving flags and surrounding bridges & power plants. Difficult to imagine this has any precedent in modern warfare. (🎥 Al Jazeera)

America is broken.

The matter-of-fact way she asks what investors should do if Trump destroys Iran. Absolutely wild. "Let's talk about tonight, this deadline that President Trump has set 8 p.m., has threatened to destroy a civilization. How does an investor process that? Is it a bigger upside risk or downside risk?"

So is the plan for our elected officials just to sit back and hope the administration checks in before this madman dooms us all?

Whatever happens, this is a deeply shameful episode in American history that will leave a permanent stain on the country. Repeatedly vowing to commit war crimes against millions of innocent civilians is beyond the pale.

The Supremely Corrupted Court.

John Bisognano@johnbisognano.com

I'm sorry, is this a sitting US Republican Governor saying that he has INSIDE information from a Supreme Court Justice about a case before the court to ensure political capitalization off the case? It sure sounds like it...

This wasn't a slip-up. Someone had to find footage from MONTHS ago of Trump without a hat, and then someone had to add graphics to intentionally mislead viewers to think what they were seeing occurred yesterday. Fox is *still* misleading viewers—after paying $787.5 million for misleading viewers.

One family is about to control CBS, CNN, HBO, and TikTok. They’ll buy Warner Brothers with $24 billion from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. To win over Trump, they canceled Colbert, blocked a 60 Minutes CECOT investigation, and blocked Talarico. Much more will follow. Block this rotten deal.

This. I've been a Bears fan over 40 years. Probably been 20 years since I've felt as much excitement and optimism as I did this season. Then the org pulls the rug. Most def should not be allowed to keep the name "Chicago" and I'll be shopping for a new team if they move out of IL.

Trump: "I want to let you know that United States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace." (Congress has not appropriated this money!)

I disagree with guys like Massie and Rand Paul on policy and think they're both a**holes, but at least they have principals and stand by them. The rest of their caucus are spineless cowards that abandoned everything they once claimed to stand for.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Mike Johnson on Trump calling for Rs to "nationalize" elections: "We had 3 Republicans who were ahead on election day in last cycle & every time a new tranche of ballots came in they just magically whittled away until their leads were lost.
