My favorite Zelda game, and my favorite Nintendo game of all time! Just the absolute masterclass of schedule and time loop design.

On this day, 26 years ago, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was released in North America! (October 26, 2000) After only a 15-month development cycle, Nintendo put out one of the most iconic games in the franchise. What memories do you have attached to this beloved title?

90 hours in, I finally started Cai Route which means I have met Castor finally outside of Cai's Paralogue, and I finally understand him. I would, too. Unprotected.

........ I don't think I've seen a more convincing argument for getting Final Fantasy Resonance immediately

tonally so far this game feels made by a 14 year old rpg maker user really into the tales of series if they had infinite money. the epic newgrounds-ahh sprite battle cutscenes. the dialogue and quirky characters. the persona weakness system you'd get off the internet as a rpg maker vx ace script

(I'm still not yet. I'm still deep into Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and after that I'm either playing Trails in the Sky SC Remake or Digimon Story Time Stranger) (We'll talk afterwards)

Sadly, because I'd been paying attention for the last 8 years, and because of the recent acquisition of EA by the Saudi Entertainment Fund, the closing of BioWare and the layoff of its staff did not surprise me in the least. Bad that it happened, of course, but expected.

My favorite BioWare memory isn't a game, it's interviewing the Doctors at GDC 2008. Rather than talk up their own work, they wanted to gush about Eternal Sonata—how someone turned their Chopin obsession into an RPG. Their excitement over using games for personal expression seems extra poignant today
