Back in Canberra grilling the big banks – because digital payments shouldn’t cost you more than cash. We’ve made real progress on fee-free digital payments, and today’s RBA review hearings were another step in the right direction.

“The (Climate Change) Authority recommends the Govt. should aim for the top of the 62-70% range, prepare for breakthroughs and setbacks, and not rule out 'overachievement,' should greater emissions reductions prove possible. This will keep us moving towards net zero emissions by 2050 at the latest”

Incredible scenes over at the coalition. Will they ever learn? Nah, it’s the voters who were wrong. Meanwhile we’re getting on with the job we were twice elected to do. #auspol

2035 Target set at 62%-70% as recommended by the Climate Change Authority My focus? Getting to 70% and beyond ASAP The Liberals can tear themselves apart over this, instead I'll be getting on with it.

A huge climate report came out today and it sends a very strong message; climate action is not a nice to have, it’s a must. Here’s what I had to say today on Sky News 📺 Watch the full interview on my YouTube channel #auspol

ICYMI: Latest inflation figures are in, and they’re welcome. That’s four consecutive quarters in a row that inflation is in the RBA’s band. Under the Liberals, inflation was high and rising. Under Labor, it’s now within band and falling. More to do.

And that’s how it’s done ✅ Approved in just 17 days. Over 90 renewable energy projects have been approved by our government, dwarfing any other energy type. Here’s to another step forward on energy transition.

And this folks is why Urgent Care Clinics matter 🙌 A local mum shared her experience with me after a nasty fall. Thanks to the team at the Ryde Medicare Urgent Care Clinic for providing compassionate, timely, and bulk billed support.

🎉 HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY to the Top Ryde Medicare Urgent Care Clinic! 🎂 10,487 presentations in just one year; all fully bulk billed and all taking pressure off hospital emergency. And in case you missed it, there’s another urgent care clinic on its way in Chatswood 🙌 Labor invests in Medicare.

Big news for Hunters Hill High 🎉 Hunters Hill is one of 33 public high schools across NSW set to benefit from the $100 million in upgrades to support High Potential and Gifted Education programs. These upgrades will help every student thrive and back every child to reach their potential 🙌

Today I was formally declared the Member for Bennelong. It’s an extraordinary honour to represent my home in our nation’s parliament. Thank you to the AEC for a fair and transparent count and to the people of Bennelong. I’ll never take this responsibility for granted.

Labor has now received two mandates to transition to renewable energy. This one bigger than the last. That means more solar, more wind and more storage to firm it up. Bring it on #auspol

Thank you to NSW Premier Chris Minns for supporting my re-election to represent our community in Bennelong.  I’ve been living here for nearly 20 years. I’ll always fight for what’s best for my home. Vote 1 Jerome Laxale, and number every square.

In #Bennelong letterboxes this week Me: You should be able to see a doctor for free when it’s urgent, medicines and housing should be more affordable and students shouldn’t be unfairly burdened with debt. Conservatives: wOkE mInD vIrUs is bAd fOR EcOnMy #auspol

The Liberals opposed Medicare from day 1, and promised at 4 consecutive elections to abolish it. Peter Dutton said that too many services are bulk billed. Labor created Medicare Labor saved Medicare And only Labor will strengthen it.

Portraying future fund investments “a gamble” did nothing but undermine Labor’s promise to build more homes. To nobody’s surprise the Greens were wrong. Their antics, hand in glove with the liberals, delayed social and affordable housing #auspol
