Unfortunately I just got diagnosed with breast cancer. We are extremely fortunate to have excellent health insurance, but there are quite a few things needed that are not covered.

I have a few feeders full of peanuts for my crows. I don't think that's a crow.

I've been cleared to go home. Woohoo! Lucky because I've run out of yarn agsin. 😂 #crochetsky

They made me eat solid food this morning. It was novel. They said I'm in at least one more night but I don't see how that is possible because I've run out of yarn for crocheting. 😂

I'm really happy with this blanket. Have started another with a different stitch. Never expected cancer to lead me to a crochet blanket addition. #crochetsky

My amazing night nurse brought me a tub of broth seeing I'm only allowed fluids. She is a gem.

Still getting IV antibiotics and fluids, but they have the best popsicles here. Meanwhile, a rat snake had a lovely nap on our trashcan at home.

I got diagnosed on September 4. Claims to date are growing. These are ones Cigna has covered so far. If you get cancer and do not have insurance I just assume you die. 😢

I'm not American (but live in American). Please tell me how anyone eats this cream of wheat. It is tasteless and gritty. 🤮

My oncologist is so good. I'm already at an infusion center for hydration, octreotide shot and steroids. Love my Adventhealth team. ❤️

Working on a new blanket now. The sides are perfectly straight....so far. I'm loving the stitch my daughter showed me for this one. It is only a single crochet stitch hooked into the back of each stitch, but for an absolute beginner, I'm excited.

Have had a few rough health days but the blanket for my hubby is finished. The sides are definitely not straight but it is soft and cozy and loved.

Having a lovely overnight stay in hospital due to dehydration from the side effects of my infusions. Have acquired a rash on my face too. Still better than being dead. No crocheting tonight.

While I'm laid up from immunotherapy and chemo infusions, I thought I'd crochet some throw rugs. I really have no idea what I'm doing though. 🤣
