We use animatronics to tell stories that screens can't. Our little guy, GoodGood, is exploring the world. Customize his outfit, pose, and take a virtual photo of him to create your PalPass and invite him to your town! yes.land

"this needs to be studied" says the person who is actively ignoring the abundance of research on the topic and refuses to read any of it.

AirBud but it's about a pet-play obsessed trans women trying to compete in leagues that are more restrictive against her than an actual dog.

Following the Brazilian election has been wild. Really didn't think Lula was gonna get it, but I am SO HAPPY! I'm always going to be happy when fascism is rejected, but Brazil was my home as a kid. It just feels good.

The thing about writing is every week you take off is actually 2 weeks off: 1 for the break, and 1 in six months when there's nothing you wrote six months ago to be embarrassed over.

Today I got strapped to a table and leaned forward as they gave me medicine that made me pass out with a racing heart and somehow it was NOT sexy.

Mormon sex fantasies are inherently compelling. To want something you can't have, until someone comes along and makes that desire their own. To let their desire take you away, never having to reveal that the desire is your own.

Even if the myth that universal healthcare inevitably means longer wait times was true, I feel like being willing to wait a bit longer to see a doctor so that someone who's never been able to afford one and has needed one for years can see one is just the sign of a decent person.

The thing is, even if he's gotten better or gets better or make amends, there is vast range of creators who haven't raped someone that are worth your attention.

β€œRestorative justice” does not mean he is then owed an audience, or the audience he had prior to us learning about this. And this says nothing of my empathy for his victim who perhaps had to deal with the yearslong public praise for her rapist and now all this shit.

I've said a lot of things I regretted, I used to go about life without willingly engaging with people's experiences and on occasion just chose against respecting someone socially due to my own bad beliefs. I say this because that's my biggest regret. If yours is rape, I don't even know man.

Yes this post is about someone specific. No I am not surprised that another internet white guy did something deeply evil. Liking someone's content shouldn't presuppose that we don't live in a patriarchy that upholds a culture of rape. Again, we must do better than acting shocked every time.

"I know women experience sexual abuse all the time, but I never thought it could be MY favorite internet white guy" has gotta be the most tone-deaf reaction out there. We live in a patriarchy, we need to do better for the victims than respond with shock every time.

Fake feminists will tell you they believe in women's empowerment when they really only believe that empowerment can come from patriarchal positions of authority. Empowerment is an internal authority over ones body. Therefore, true feminism means women can be both authoritative and submissive.

"so I need you to create a mechanic where the player can control the sun with real time lighting." "Cool give me ten minutes." "I also need you to make a very basic door." "You fucking bastard."

Reasons why I should be cast on #Survivor: 1. Historically, every Jenna on the show has been entertaining 2. I write with a 2 time Pixar director and EP 3. I became a professor at 22. 4. My neurodivergence and my extroversion go crazy together 5. I'm bisexual which automatically makes me cool.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

Oh this #survivor cast is going to be good. The open era sounds so fun. Hope to play some day 🀞 (I'd win, of course, because I'm just that cool)

As a dual enrollment professor, it's become pretty clear that younger gen z isn't lazy, they've just realized that "hard work pays off" is a lie.

It's short-sighted to blame students for a systematic cultural problem brought about by the patriarchy that has, at every step, enabled fascism.

a lot of people act like there's a trade being offered where we give up trans athletes in sports and in exchange fascism is defeated forever

Obviously people shouldn't watch the Harry Potter show because of JK Rowling's transphobia, but we can't keep overlooking the blatant in-text antisemitism. This isn't about separating the art from the artist. The art is the problem.

Any criticism of the dire literacy problem that criticizes 67 is deeply misguided and narcissistic. The desire to learn can easily be boosted by an engagement with our social environments. 67 is completely harmless. The thread to your kids literacy is the lack of phonics education, not memes.

There are other contributing factors to the literacy problem. Most of them come back to educational practices. Teaching counting by using 67 poses no threat to literacy. Get a grip.

Everyone yearns for the college days, when we had like twelve different third spaces and our friends would just randomly show up there without even having to plan anything.
