A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Palestine Action are declared terrorists for fighting against a fascist genocide, while actual armed fascists planning political murders are endorsed by half the British establishment.

"They can start cutting people's faces up. They can stab someone. They can shoot someone." EXCLUSIVE: Our hidden cameras capture the leader of Turning Point UK organising a fake rally for a foreign government and helping arrange a murder-for-hire with loyalist paramilitaries.

I overdrafted my account to make a necessary payment on my power bills and really badly need to raise some of this $185 to avoid getting stuck in an overdraft cycle

Funny AF watching the fallout of Sony’s “digital only” edict resulting in all the leaps in PlayStation5 emulation and jailbreaking. I saw this elsewhere and it sums it up haha

I think the coolest part of the political parts of my novel is that they're just people trying. That seems important. I mean, who has ever lived in an anarchist collective across Antarctica, much less provide the infrastructure that can change with it? There's probably too many ideas in this thing.

Man. I need to work on the novel more.

All my latex is now way too big lol. I could buy more but nobody IRL wants to see me in it. Quite the opposite really...I'd like to have some that do fit but I don't think it matters. It's not like I have a reason to wear anything but sweat pants most days. I'm too tired to try.

I've never been hot and I'm too old to really be "traditionally" hot... Which doesn't interest me much anyway. But it might be nice to have someone that'd be happy to see me try

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.

Computer, where is the air intake on an Aston Martin? Directly under the headlights you say? And what happened to my engine? To shreds you say.

My fear is that if I wished for a president who didn't say evil stupid shit is that the monkey's paw would give me a president who says actionable evil shit and then things would get much worse faster

Trump: "They want to cut your children. It's unbelievable what they do. Your son leaves as Jimmy and comes home in three days as Janet, and they don't even ask you. They can take your child out of school and do whatever the hell they want. Minnesota is one of those states."

I have a million years of experience in journalism, research, editing, including stuff for businesses, as well as PR work. I’m open to remote jobs outside of those jobs too though. I just need a job and have been applying everywhere including gas stations for the last 5 years and nothingggg

Over the last decade, there were two hypotheses: H1: the political right genuinely cared about threats to speech from the left. H2: they were using campus speech wars to impose their values and silence dissent. Today, the answer is clear, but I can't find any of the H1 people admitting their error.

After years of championing "free speech," Texas lawmakers have enabled a dramatic rise of censorship in Texas universities, banning concepts, canceling courses and closing departments seen as "woke," and even using AI bots as censors. All in the name of freedom. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1...

The problem won't be malicious... It'll be when someone's always on open claw can't turn off the local home automation lights so somehow it gets an idea to shut off the power plant. It'll probably be more complicated than that. But not much.

“.. AI companies are privately gaming out scenarios for a public and political revolt after a catastrophic AI event .. most likely a cyberattack, that shuts down access to financial services, internet connectivity, or even power and water.” @axios.com www.axios.com/2026/10/09/a...

Wifey made "mock apple pie." Basically sugar, butter, brown sugar, and Ritz crackers. Tasted just like apple pie. Weird. Good though.

I kind of figured out what I want to do when I grow up. I mean... I want to retire and have a midwestchouse and a room in NYC I can occasionally spend a few weeks in to do comedy. I'm not looking for fame. Just opportunities and location. Idk. Seems silly but it feels like a worthy goal.

I feel bad for wanting maybe having 2 places to live... But just a room rental isn't bad I guess. It's not an empty skyscraper investment bullshit.
