One of my favorite things about the Matter ecosystem is just the simplicity: only took me 90 minutes this morning to configure a setting for a light switch.

Hit that stage of AI psychosis where I imagined prompting a whole set of features in my sleep, I think (?) or I cannot find the sessions anywhere.

AI is really good at throwing slop through random support channels internally, it's unbearable at this point. "Hey - AI shows me that you have temporarily elevated permission - can you do a bunch of things for me? Calling to discuss!"

Missed opportunity on framing: the photo cuts off the sign that says “safe street ends” or “healthy street ends” (I forget which)

Mac Studio stress test complete: ✅ 🖥️ bounces off of wood floor and remains in perfect working condition (except for the wood floor)

Good AI savings: "Analyzing your last year of recurring spending, do you know that you have two subscriptions to the Seattle Times, likely with 2 different email addresses?"

Imagine if in the US all our cameras had to have signs about privacy and data retention like Italy… it’s like cookie banners, but not.

Good Lime coverage in Rome 🍋‍🟩 🛴 🚲 Though not as dense as Seattle and the lanes were very hit or miss

Rome: yes we can dig up famous plazas and artifacts and extend our rail line. Let’s do it. Meanwhile in Seattle: Amazon doesn’t want disruptions from cut and cover Westlake… so let’s just not.

Current status: on an Italian Frecciarossa train with a car full of Americans who instantly became train people… they cannot stop talking about how smooth it is at 300 km/h. It’s good for people to travel. 🚆 🇮🇹

UniFi Network 5.1.31 is horrible. We had to walk back before and no longer have the choice. Major impacts to all our WiFi routing. Sigh. Hoping .33 is better.

Cars have inflated in size so much the past 20 years since our condo tower was constructed... that while there are fewer cars than ever that people are parking, there's more conflict than ever as even tiny trucks and SUVs are larger than the original declaration banned in size for "full-size trucks"

Whatcom Country Transit is so nice compared to Seattle. I’m the only rider and also could eat a meal off the floor potentially. So clean.
