Just got out of the Cineworld Secret Screaming. It was Clayface. A full-on nasty body horror film with a fun comic book revenge storyline. I loved it. #Clayface #DC #DCU #Filmsky

I drew a Venn diagram of the people stupid enough to believe that we’re all getting $5000 checks after the election and the people dumb enough to believe we’ll ever be able to purchase a street legal version of a flying Tesla and…oh.

Film studies should be taught as mandatory as maths, English, science etc. in schools. It would expose you to different cultures, languages, time periods, music. It would promote empathy and understanding of other people's struggles and successes. Hugely beneficial to society.

No films should be "edited for daytime broadcast". If they're not suitable for daytime broadcast, don't broadcast them during the day.

It was when I was arranging to meet someone and said "I'll be in a silver Audi" and not "a silver car" that I realised I had become a cunt

All new houses should be built wth doors and passageways wide enough for wheelchairs. Anyone can end up needing one, whether temporarily or permanently.

Happy book birthday to my book. The only one I think I’ll ever write. It wasn’t until I started writing that I realized how personal the process was and I think it’s just not for me. But if you’ve ever felt the weight of exhaustion, then this book will not lie to you. books2read.com/u/mdpDKX

It’s out! From @crossroadpress.bsky.social comes the story of a man, exhausted by life, who is selected for a one way trip to mars. During transit he sheds the last of the things tying him to earth, as the desert fathers once did. www.audible.com/pd/B0HL18HV9...

Yes, it's sad. Pubs are closing at the rate of two per day. But, society has moved on. It's a luxury price tag with a bargain basement experience, and the youths can't afford it and those that can would rather do other hobbies. Its the end of an era but it's inevitable.

Ridley Scott's excellent new film, a fun romcom, a typically naff Statham film and a lesser-known Hammer gem make up my last four watched. #Filmsky #Lastfourwatched #LetterboxdFriday #Letterboxd

Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? #filmsky

If anything, the VAT on private schools isn't high enough

We don't appreciate how great it is to have free art galleries in this country. You can just wander in to so many places and have the most relaxing time away from life's stresses, and it doesn't cost a penny. You don't even have to be an art fan to find the peace in that.
