Welp, it’s official: I’m unemployed. Self-inflicted and short lived… I start a new career Monday. It’s just strange that my phone started bashing me for a password to my work email at exactly 5pm.

Gave notice on Monday that I would be leaving the company I worked for almost three years. Looking back on my history, that’s about average. Leaving on great terms for an even better opportunity. Tech jobs are strange like that. Not good or bad, just an observation.

My Hermes agent wanted to help configure its firewall, all I needed to do was setup passwordless sudo access for it. Nah, fam we good … just recommend the ufw rules.

When you want to make a change in your community - all it takes is to show up. Our golf event today is full! 100% sold out and we’re going to beat last year’s proceeds! Perfect weather, every golfer showed up, every volunteer showed up and everyone is having a blast. #showup

Volunteered this weekend at an Air Show in Janesville Wisconsin. If you were there, I was too. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Helped with hot air balloon ground crew, VIP gate workers, and anywhere else needed. Met some awesome folks. Views and experience was so worth it.

I wasn’t looking for another hobby… but this one found me. Hold my beer, this rabbit hole is deep. Printy McPrintface is busy.

Big rif at work and my manager didn’t make the cut. All this while I was on vacation and turned off my work email. Damn, that didn’t help my disconnection anxiety, but I stuck it out and kept it off the rest of the week. Tomorrow I turn it back on and see what my inbox looks like.

Hey Michigan, you got a nice state. Been to the UP and across the mighty Mac bridge. Love your state and national parks! But after dealing with tourists crowds and traffic in the quant towns, the Airbnb hot tub was a nice place to park. Cloudy weather not great for photography. Try again tomorrow!

1 ⭐️ for every app the interrupts my workflow with a prompt to ask for a review. I’m just trying to get my work done, stop interrupting me for a mood boost.

This Easter Sunday we’re having family over for ham and all the fixings. It’s a sad one for us as I’m sure my father in law won’t remember most at the table and it may be the last he one actually gets to attend. I miss him and I’m sad for him as I can see he’s becoming more alone in his mind…

Pet peeve: people who use outlook to schedule meetings but ignore the warnings that their invitation will be in conflict with an existing meeting.

20” of snow last week to swarms of spring thawed ravenous mosquitoes this weekend. Welcome to Wisconsin!

Who deserves an itchy rash they can’t reach? I’ll go first: a scammer trying to bilk gift cards from volunteers for a cancer charity. GFY, scumbag.

TACO strikes again. I was fretting TSA PreCheck was going to be closed on my flight on Monday… but poof, again they flipped back.

This is Piper. Our sweet yellow Labrador and very much an empathic companion. She knows when you just need reminder that love exists in the world.

Sad day… my NUC decided to shit the bed today. Silver lining, I now have two 32GB DIMMs to sell on eBay and surprise my wife with a weekend getaway.

What’s your post sickness trash food of choice to kick start your body again? McDonald’s 2 cheese burger meal hits differently when you’re coming back to life.

Got sick and down for the count - watching TV. Decided to start Star Trek Discovery… first season is all over the place.

Things ordered for an event on Friday morning. Used FedEx to guarantee delivery by Thursday. FedEx says 🖕your event. Not sure why I expected anything less. They’ve been late on nearly every overnight delivery I’ve shipped or received in the last few years.

When you politely ask for an upgrade at the car rental place to avoid driving a sub compact car in a Detroit snow event… and they give you a Jeep Grand Wagoneer. 👌 I may or may not have done a donut in the parking lot next door last night in the 420hp, 7,000 pound vehicle. J/k handled snow great. ☃️

I’ve been delivering raffle tickets to bars in my town to support an awesome charity. There are a lot of drinking establishments in my town. So far, 56 locations. #drinkwisconsinably

Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran seems more natural than on a Christian Bible. Other things people have sworn in on: books of law, comic books, and “banned” books. People are upset over the strangest things. It is a personal choice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can assure you I will never provide identifying information to a website to verify my age, just to view the content or use their services - if I do not have a business relationship with. EULAs and privacy policies are worthless as the can change on a whim.

Join us on January 15th for our next EFFecting Change livestream as we break down how age verification laws work, who they exclude, and how these mandates threaten privacy and free expression for people of all ages. The conversation will be followed by a live Q&A. www.eff.org/event/effec...

Les Claypool’s photo hangs above the tappers at Rock County Brewing Company… the owner’s favorite artist. #primussucks

@mollywood.co sincerest condolences, I’m glad you took time for yourself and welcome back. Looking forward to your newsletters! Also apologies for the senator of WI who doesn’t think climate change is real. It’s not the only issue he’s absurdly wrong about with data to prove it.

Standing in a Barnes & Nobel laughing like an idiot at this book about a monkey named Jim. Jim Panzey… and he’s grumpy. 😂
