Yes, I sometimes post political stuff, but so many are saying it all better than I can, and truthfully, it all gets overwhelming, so my feed will be a refuge, a respite page, if you will, to take a break from the horror and rest in comfort for a bit.

From 2010, when I used to go to the local beach in the off season, a time when horses and dogs are permitted to be there, and take photos. I don't know the name or owner of this handsome horse, but I hope they're still enjoying beach rides together.

Works for me, every day, although it can lead to some tense negotiations with my cat.

There are many widely available health & wellness apps that will remind you to periodically get up from your desk and walk around but I can personally recommend my own low-tech method which is to continuously drink ungodly amounts of tea.

A few days later, and they're emerging from hiding. Sammy's coming along much faster and will buzz around my legs when I'm fixing food. Barnaby is still scared but is coming out into the open.

From decades ago, my late QH, visiting a friend's farm for the summer, met her homebred colt, who'd never seen another horse besides his dam and was fascinated by this stranger in his home.

Commander (reg.Beyond Command0, a Morgan I had for a few years until laminitis took him. A smart, confident horse who liked to test the human's limits but was always a pleasure to be around.

[eulogy] Commander went to his rest [that] morning at a little past 10:00, ending his drawn-out, roller-coaster, ultimately unwinnable battle with founder. He walked slowly but resolutely out of the barn, into the sunlight, and stood foursquare with his head high as we gave him our last gift. /1
