I recommend every school should show When the Wind Blows in its entirety. Give students the time to watch it without distractions, then discuss it. Its message about nuclear war, ordinary people and the consequences of political decisions remains as powerful and very relevant today as it did then.

Apparently, the moment I get pulled over by the police, my default setting switches to a strong, upper-class Cambridge accent....who knew!

If heaven is real, I hope we get to live the version of our lives that we were meant to have played out, the paths we never got to take, the dreams we never got to fulfil, and the happiness that life never quite gave us.

My thoughts. To quote Geniuses, “There are too many people making too many problems.” Instead of division and discord, we should be coming together to find solutions to the issues facing society today. We need unity, common sense and cooperation, not polarising politics that drive us further apart.

Dear 20-somethings, UV radiation accelerates skin ageing through a process called photoaging. It damages collagen and elastin fibres, reducing skin elasticity and contributing to wrinkles and premature ageing. Regular broad-spectrum sunscreen helps protect your skin from UVA and UVB radiation.

My grandfather served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. One of the greatest pieces of wisdom he ever passed on to me was this: “The real world is a lovely place to visit; you just wouldn’t want to live there.” As I get older, the more I understand just how right he was.

I’d argue the internet has undergone a fundamental transformation. It began as a way to share knowledge, connect people and provide access to what was once a vast global library. Today, it increasingly resembles a worldwide shopping centre filled with advertising, algorithms and misinformation.

Weather warning: Storm-force winds expected in southwest England Friday morning, then northern England, Wales and Northern Ireland Saturday evening. Flooding is expected, Bridges may close, trees could be uprooted and roofs damaged. Take care and stay safe!

The possibility of life on other planets is high when you consider that the elements that make up life on Earth, carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus and sulphur are found throughout the universe. We’ve found organic molecules in space, so it's just a 'matter' of time before we detect it.

The world’s governments should put aside their differences and focus on protecting their citizens, because we are about to experience something truly extraordinary. This year's El Niño is already the strongest observed in modern times, and is believed to be among the strongest in 1000 years.

The new Jaguar is an eyesore and, in my opinion, a disgrace to the brand’s incredible heritage. The Jaguar on the right, however, feels far more in keeping with the design language and elegance that defined Jaguars of the past. It’s just a shame that it took AI to show it.

Really appreciated all the birthday wishes today, thank you! My birthday treat was a Kanelbulle Semla, which is probably my favourite Swedish sweet treat.

No one tells you that illness carries a social cost. After diagnosis, an invisible barrier can emerge between you and those you love. As years pass, isolation deepens. Today is my birthday; few would know.

One of the more profound observations I encountered during my university education was that, while the universe is fundamentally composed of protons, neutrons, and electrons, empirical evidence suggests that morons represent a fourth, considerably less well-understood component of the universe.

I've got an important announcement. Due to the ongoing drama of it all I will not be opening for Ed Sheeran. I know, my Mum will be disappointed I won't be on the Tele but I feel I must do the right thing.

I’ve got a question for you all. As we get older, does our perception of time change, making the year feel shorter? Add your age and tell us: how many month's/days does a single year feel like to you? I'll start. Aged 51, answer: 8 months.

Truth time. The real reason why I drive a 21 year old car is because I simply can't afford anything older. If money was no object then my car would be at least 40.

My Paradox of the day. "If you don't know whether you're right or wrong, you can't confidently be called right. If you think you're right, you might discover you're wrong. Once you realise you were wrong, you now know the truth, so in knowing that you were wrong, you're right about being wrong"

This is Henrietta Lacks. Her HeLa cells transformed medical research, helping advance cancer treatments, vaccines and countless discoveries. Though she never knew the impact of her cells would have, her legacy continues to save and improve lives around the world. We remember you with gratitude.

Sad news coming out of the US this morning. Nobody could save the cheerleader… so I guess that means the world really is coming to an end. Rest in peace Hayden Panettiere.

Any Vauxhall/Opel mechanics on this platform? MERIVA A Easytronic 1.8 2007 No power to the brake switch, fuse ok, no brake lights and a flashing N/A on the dashboard. Voltage in brake plug is 0.01. Brake switch tested ok. Easytronic fuse 60amp ok.

After 2 day's of squeezing through a gap only a child could fit through, I've finally found the cause of car failure. These are the wires to the brake switch. On this car the computer needs to read the brake pedal before starting, without it my car is a giant paperweight.

Fun fact: During a total solar eclipse, the Moon completely blocks the Sun’s visible disk, reducing direct sunlight to essentially zero. For a few minutes, Earth receives less direct solar illumination than Neptune over 4.5 billion km from the Sun.

I’ve put together this basic poster for anyone interested in today’s solar eclipse. It gives a simple overview of how much of the eclipse will be visible across different parts of Europe, along with the approximate times and some information specifically for Sweden.

When I die, bury me in my walking boots, for there’ll still be forest trail to wander, fields to explore, and countless sticks to throw. A lifetime of walkies still awaits me, and he'll be waiting for me, just beyond the next path. Miss you, Sam. x

In 2013, I built an edge-of-space balloon vehicle, Everything went perfectly until seconds before descent, when the balloon burst, the shock dislodged the primary camera, and it was lost somewhere over the Scandinavian wilderness. This image was recovered from the secondary camera.

In classic sci-fi horror, humanity has faced every imaginable threat from zombies to alien invasions. I'd like to think I'd survive most of them, but there's one scenario where I'd be out on day one: The Day of the Triffids. I'd almost certainly have stopped to watch the spectacular meteor shower.
