Here's a very quick scan of the painting. I didn't do it justice with the colour balance, but I'm so happy with the painting, I had to share it immediately!

Best birthday present ever. A collaboration from my wife and daughter.

I've had this Jack Teagle shower curtain for AGES and I love it but this is the first time I've lived somewhere where the bathroom isn't in the far corner and-

I just retroactively lost 2 days of work on a corrupted psd layout file, just as a 2 hour late log delivery directly outside of my house decides to dump 2 tons of logs are LOUDLY AS POSSIBLE. The file is unrecoverable. I think I have a migraine.

I’m going to be at SHAKE XL at Shredenhams in Bristol on Saturday the 10th! I’ve got some affordable original art, the LAST COPIES of some of my comics, and all hangings on clearance, and a few T-shirts as well as prints. Hopefully see you there!

More biro drawings on receipts. I like to save up the end rolls of receipts to draw on instead of having them go to waste. I enjoy the challenge of fitting an image to a small, specific space.

I wish I had more paintings to celebrate Dolly Parton's life. Here's a commission I made for a good friend as a gift for his wife for her birthday way back, teaming up with Macho Man Randy Savage. I was really pleased I got her likeness in the simplified way I used to paint.

Here’s the hand drawn texture work I made for the project that we subtlety placed into all of the artwork in the project.

Here’s some of the original drawings that were layered to make up the artwork I made for Green Man Festival this year.

Across Instagram, threads and Facebook, I’ve been struggling for reach for a while, and this has confirmed it, apparently I’ve been flagged for “fraud and deception” - I’m sure I’ve been maliciously reported, because I’m only ever posting my own art. I can’t get a response from meta.

I’m not sure what to do. I cannot appeal. It won’t let me, and it’s all automated by a chatbot that blocks being seen by a human. It’s sending me round in circles. As the internet becomes smaller, sadly meta “is” the internet, so it’s absolutely hobbled my reach after a lot of hard work.

I'm really glad everyone has been enjoying what they've seen so far of my work as the artist for Green Man Festival 2026. I wanted to share a few pieces from the project. More to come soon!

I haven’t been very active online, I’ve just finished up some major work, I’m finally getting a bit more time, but my back has given out. I’m having physio, I’ve got strong pain killers, but it’s a frustrating time. I’m just trying to get better as soon as I can.

The good news is that sitting at a good drawing desk doesn’t hurt me, and I think it’s helping recovery. I’m finally getting into more drawing and it’s a lot of fun. I’m working on some fun client work, and I’m looking forward to my future plans. I just wish I could get there faster.

If I sit too far back on a sofa, slouch or lie down, it’s incredibly difficult to get back up. I can’t bend in front of me. Rest is painful, and exercising and staying active is tiring. The nerve pain seems to slowly be going down though.

I'm trying a "less is more" approach with my new work, where I'm not overdoing shading and letting some subtle texture and hatching compliment bolder drawings. I used to make a lot of very bold acrylic paintings, so I wanted to try to return to that and not overcomplicate things.

If you haven't heard much from me, I'm trying to catch up with some freelance while I'm wearing a back brace. It's draining. I've got one more week left of full time hours at work, and then I'll be dropping down to part time. I'm looking forward to pushing on with more artwork soon.

The ghosts that appear in my work have been with me for 20 years now. Here's a cut paper/ photocopy collage I created back in 2006 when I was in my first year of studying illustration.

The process of “The Return”. It stated as a sketchbook drawing, which I then refined into a large pencil drawing. I inked over the pencils using a lightbox, and then scanned the inks to colour the image digitally.

Here’s the full art for the card!
