Good luck. Five year statute of limitations for federal bribery charges. Prosecute all of them.

Coinbase donated to Trump's $300 million White House ballroom project as an appeal to the administration, Emilie Choi, the cryptocurrency exchange's president and COO, said at Axios' BFD event today.

So the Trump tariffs will get struck down and the companies get a refund for the money they paid. All the while, Americans who have been paying this will get nothing and a fair number of companies will keep their high prices. Good job. Idiots

Going to assume that the "friend" is Putin until Trump tells us otherwise.

Adam Cancryn@adamcancryn.bsky.social

New: The Pentagon confirms to CNN it will funnel $130M from an anonymous Trump “friend” toward military pay. Asked about the donor’s identity and any foreign or domestic entanglements, the WH referred questions to DoD. DoD then referred questions back to the WH www.cnn.com/2025/10/24/p...

Obama should do an Instagram/TikTok post using Not Like Us

Breaking from the Office of Pres. Obama: "Our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.

Twenty plus years ago I remember law professors extolling the non-partisan Federal judiciary. Relatively, our judiciary is fine, our Supreme Court is enabling a fascist takeover of the country.

The next president will need to send the US Marshalls to seize the plane as soon as they take office.

Trump’s decision to accept a superluxury jumbo jet from the royal family of Qatar doesn’t end the controversy. In some ways, it *starts* the controversy. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

When you have a law firm who’s business isn’t carrying water for corporate America it helps

60 Minutes@60minutes.bsky.social

Few lawyers are willing to speak publicly about President Trump’s actions against law firms. Fear is rippling through Washington. But, despite being a target, Marc Elias is still talking. Scott Pelley sits down with him tonight on 60 Minutes.

Can’t imagine the restraint of an admiral not wanting to throat punch this clown.

“I’ll hook you up to a f—ing polygraph!” Hegseth shouted at Adm. Christopher Grady, the then-acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, according to two people familiar with the exchange. @wsj.com www.wsj.com/politics/nat...

Act Blue makes a lot of money as a pass through. They can handle a meritless DOJ investigation. It’s a terrible pain in the ass but also keeping them from going after someone else with fewer resources.

I need a call of Father Guido Sarducci calling on behalf of the Vatican to negotiate a deal with the White House.

Kyle Griffin@kylegriffin1.bsky.social

New on @MSNBC: The White House will not release the list of 75 countries that have reached out on trade deals, despite requests from NBC News.

Absolutely devastating cuts to the Black Lung program at NIOSH. They do important work on research and screening miners for black lung. As black lung has surged in recent years this is a terrible thing to happen for a lot of families.

Government officials have secure ways to communicate. So it really begs the question why they would use something outside of that for attacks on Houthi rebels in Yemen. This isn’t anything to hide from normal government functions. Attacking Houthi rebels has been a long time government position.

All governments are aggressive in monitoring online communications. You should assume all of your communication is being monitored by someone. I’m outside Birmingham, Al and most likely all of my data goes through a data switch in Atlanta. That switch is monitored by the government.

So, what is the statute of limitations for that? Asking for a friend.

Brad Heath@bradheath.bsky.social

18 U.S.C. § 793(f) makes it a federal crime to for people entrusted with information related to the national defense to, with gross negligence, disclose it to others in violation of that trust.

Big law isn’t saving anyone from fascism. They will carry water for whoever can pay.

David French@davidfrenchjag.bsky.social

My friend @davidlat.bsky.social just published an email Paul Weiss chair Brad Karp sent to the firm. This excerpt is the most chilling. This is how constitutional republics die -- when rivals see a violation of fundamental rights not as an injustice, but as a business opportunity:

Not my area of expertise, but what’s stopping a Federal judge from entering a civil contempt order of say $5000 against Noem that doubles every day until the Venezuelans have been returned to the US?

If Dems are mad, no reason they don’t just dump a ton of money on a possible primary challenger tonight.

David Nir@davidnir.com

"Privately, House Democrats are so infuriated with Schumer’s decision that some have begun encouraging [AOC] to run against Schumer in a primary, according to a Democratic member who directly spoke with Ocasio-Cortez about running at the caucus’ policy retreat."

First thing we do is kill all the lawyers

Fred Wellman@fpwellman.bsky.social

Sure Trump fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the CNO....but they fired the top JAG's in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Why would you fire the top lawyers in the armed services at night on a Friday? That's the part you should be freaking out about.

Sometimes I think talking to people on Facebook about politics will be helpful to those that just get their news from Fox. And then I just find myself staring at bizarre conspiracy theories that have no grounding in reality. My only hope is that when Murdoch dies that his non-fascist kids inherit.
