this android box is neat for emulation, but it really sucks ass at youtube playing, which is unfortunately the main thing i set it up to use for. maybe i'll get a new one and set this one up in the living room or something

i think i'm leaning more to the android tv box route, i probably don't need an entire new computer, and i could still use like game native or something on a good one if i need to do any computer stuff

ok no, it sounds like the newer android boxes are just as bad if not worse for emulation, i would definitely prefer both video and game being good instead of only one being decent enough, mini pc that i have to get up every time i want to use it it is :/

preliminary sketch mostly done, i think i have to redo one of the arms because drawing cloth is hard also redoing one of the eyes because it doesn't match how it looked in the initial sketch despite me tracing it exactly ???

i'll look into it more, i /could/ get an android box for like $70 and $150 for a good one instead of $250 to $400 for a mini pc, but there is also SUBSTANTIALLY more i could do with a mini pc

with how easy it is to just play the japanese version instead, i feel like the nes version of the castlevania 3 ost is often overlooked by the original vrc6 version. both are equally very good

with only the 2a03 channels it gives off a very different vibe, especially with all the different instrumentation to make up for the 3 missing channels. with so much less going on, it gives it sort of more room for what is there to breathe too, so to speak

the percussion stands out way more in the nes version in some ways, its kind of better—just jumping between the two, the vrc6 ver feels sort of bloated in comparison. however its grandiose vibe fits better with the cinematic theming of the game having increased dramatically from the games before it

i kinda wish i had to deal with wired controllers for a longer time. i feel spoiled for living the majority of my life in the era where i don't have to sit 1½ meters away from the tv without expensive, feature lacking, and/or unresponsive controllers.

and i can't really do that now since extension cables are so easy to manufacture now. and the inconvenience of where im allowed to sit now is substantially different than how it would've been when i was at most 15. life is too short to worry about cord length, im too busy with the fact i didn't b4
