His company decides who performs, right?

NEW YORK (AP) — Jay-Z will headline the Super Bowl halftime show at SoFi Stadium in Southern California.

Art out of tragedy, I genuinely believe every story he tells about someone is real. There's souls on his debut albums, it's uhh. Kinda Satanic? Literally using the soul of a dead person on your record? But he immortalized them, is that wrong?

BYU Spiderman Carter Smith, who kicked a $3M field goal, is cute as a button. Let me never learn anything else about him.

I don't think we have a very compelling definition of consciousness within the scientific materialism that shapes modern understanding of the world.

I'm working on a reverse privacy urinal, so you see the person next to yous cock but not their face

i heard woke is trying to do same-sex bathrooms now... they want our sons pissing next to each other to turn them gay

One side effect of AI summaries is the way it keeps you in an app. If you search for an actress on Instagram, beside her profile is a summary of who she is and what she's doing, squashing any curiosity that could lead you to IMDb or any other app.

Anyone using AI for graphics is missing out on this whole other aspect of brand identity you get working with a graphic designer, especially if you can build long term clientele relationships.

We should all start making real plans for when electricity is no longer available.

EXCLUSIVE: Sam Altman met with top power utilities to discuss ways to secure the electrical grid. He also offered one possible solution to the cybersecurity risks: OpenAI’s own cyber services.

I hope we can completely discredit the "parental rights" movement thats cropped up over the last few years. It fundamentally classifies children as property. We gotta go in the other direction and secure children's rights.

Linda McMahon: "After the Biden administration allowed schools to secretly transition students without parents' knowledge, President Trump is defending parental rights like never before"

Does the term gen-AI refer specifically to audio-visual generative AI? Anyway, we should ban all audio-visual generative AI. I can't really think of a great use for it, or really any use that isn't damaging to society, culture, and art.

What's interesting, when you go back to the turn-of-the-century writings, it is not simpler, but actually more complex. Some of the language is obtuse, but generally, the writing expresses more than our modern language.

You can still find this level of intellectualism in academia, but the way it's fallen out of mainstream culture is I think what's harming us the most.

Simplification can be good! And we should strive all the time to communicate very complex ideas as simply as possible, but too, our general mode of communication has simplified. In the way that talking to AI makes you think like AI, so too does mainstream simplification lead to simplified thought.

Just yesterday I was seeing watermarks on older images, and for the first time I was actually glad to see it. Even just a bottom corner logo, I WANT to know and give credit to the artist/creator.

I oppose segregation actually. We're turning all the men's restrooms and locker rooms into Gender-Neutral spaces. Which just means adding free menstrual products and the lil trashcans inside stalls.

I went to see The Odyssey with my yoga teacher and her (and my) best friend. They are both above the age of 80, and they were THRILLED to see Elliot Page. One recognized him from Juno, they stumbled over the pronouns but were nonetheless glad to see Trans people.

"People like it," the Matrix co-creator said of her new script The Hunted. "But they really don’t want to make it because it’s [got a] wall-to-wall trans cast." www.avclub.com/lilly-wachow...

Competitive multiplayer games stop being fun about ~6 months after launch. There is just such a huge discrepancy in skill levels that it's not even accessible.

No hate, no dogpiling, just curious. For me, it's Skyrim. Don't know why, considering it should be exactly my kind of game, but it just didn't click for me.

We need an AI disclosure standard for the web. So many crap sites have shown up with just churned out AI responses. All my searches are for articles before 2023 now. If I go to your website, and you don't have a statement of AI policy, I have to assume this article from 2025 onward is probably AI.

In tandem, we need credit for writers. I want to know who wrote this, who is the person, how do we even verify people are not made up? Also a problem to be solved. I want humanity, please,

Journalists and writers are uniquely positioned to lead us forward. Unions may be obsolete at this point, having no state support. Worker-owned Enterprise is a requirement for socialism anyway.

Just thinking about how there was this huge (good! I was part of it!) push to unionize digital media and now I wanna say most of those unionized workers have been laid off/the websites shut down
