Had fun with cds today. I don't think I'm playing the right comp with it but it does feel better than vdualie at least on zones

Context: It has been brought to my attention that low level capped events have zero consideration for x power when determining eligibility and that was the last straw for me. There's some widespread idea that x rank and comp play like different video games and I wish to understand (and debunk) this.

That's been my thought looking at area cups recently. I'm not all that in touch with specific JP players and their histories but at a glance it does feel like the last few ones have been the battle of the experiments much more than experiments vs meta. Hard to feel like it actually says much.

One more thing I'll say is always think about the context of any tournament. Read the player lists. How many top players do you know. Look at if past teams that won entered. How active is the game in it's current state. Is it all modes or zones. Context is everything when seeing these weapons/comps

Waiting for the day Nintendo does something for all regions again so people can stop using area cup as a metric for what's strong or not yes it matters to a certain extent but the tournament is at its highest competition when players use it to prep for the bigger tournaments that used to happen

i don't think we know how privileged we have it with sendou I've been hanging around other communities and everytime I show them sendou they just freak out and wish they had something like that instead of everything being on discord or twitter

This da method to beating japanese eliter bubble comps just have 2 one shot specials a special that can walk into the bubble and have one them be not jp so their powers are nerfed by 20% 👍

I want to see teams experiment with these specials/weapons to beat the liter comps. I think it is doable but I won't be the person to do it 💔

Ive been seeing the take a lot that cooler keeps e liter in check when historically in s3 it has been stuff like crab zooka missiles pre nerf stamper. Cooler doesn't doing anything to interact with liter besides just make you respawn faster but that isn't enough to make the liter uncharge or move

this might be an insane take but i think cooler should tone back some of the overall buffs and have some class/weapon specific buffs (i.e. tetra gets a few frames less endlag when it has cooler) but idk how hard that would be to manage for EVERY gun/if it would even be good
