Going to watch all the Brooklyn Nine-Nine #Halloween episodes tonight. Feel like watching stuff that puts my in the holiday spirit but isn't too gory or violent #tvsky

Mar-a-Lago Minaj doesn't want children being bombarded with sex changes. That's great to see Nicki has come to love kids so much. She didn't care much when she pleaded with a judge for leniency for her brother raping kids. She defends to her registered death her sex offender hubby. Great ass, tho

If there is a God who made the stars, who set the oceans moving, who planted wildflowers in forgotten places, I hope that God knows me not by the rules I broke, but by the love I gave. I hope that God recognizes me by the way I learned to love myself.

They taught me to fear the life I love. The world taught me to question that fear. And somewhere between the two, I found my own kind of faith: To love without apology. To live without shame. To be wholly, fiercely, beautifully myself. And to call that holy.

They may never understand why I love the life I have. They may never bless the things that make me feel most alive. But I have finally learned that their inability to see my goodness does not make my goodness disappear.

The greatest love I have is the love I am learning to give myself. Not because I am perfect. Not because I have all the answers. But because I am worthy of love while I am still becoming. And I will not call myself a sin just to make them comfortable.

Because I am not a mistake waiting to be corrected. I am not a sinner waiting to be saved. I am a woman learning to live, to love, to heal, to grow. I am a thousand beautiful things they taught me to call broken.

And perhaps my greatest act of faith is this: I can love the people who raised me without believing everything they taught me. I can grieve their rejection without accepting their judgment. I can leave their condemnation at the door.

I resent the sermons, the whispers, the careful little judgments. I resent that the people who raised me to believe in love cannot recognize it standing right in front of them. I resent that their acceptance comes with the price of my disappearance.

But I will not make myself smaller to fit inside their definition of good. I will not trade my uncle's love, my chosen way of loving, my laughter, my wonder, or the person I have fought to become for a seat at their table.

They preached acceptance until someone like me needed accepting. They preached compassion until compassion challenged their certainty. They preached a love without limits, then drew a line around my life and called the line sacred.

And that is what hurts the most: not that they disagree with me, but that they look at the life I love and see something to be ashamed of. They taught me that love was holy. I just never imagined they'd hate the way mine looks.

I find God on a wooded trail, in sunlight threading through the leaves, in the ocean breathing against the shore, in the impossible beauty of being alive. I've felt more holy beneath an open sky than I ever did beneath a church's roof.

Sometimes my mouth is filthy. Sometimes my words arrive unpolished, with a few choice expletives for company. But I will never use my tongue to tear down someone I love. Funny how they hear my swearing but miss the kindness in my silence.

I found a little healing where they only taught me fear. Cannabis helped me sit with my wounds, quiet the noise, and let my imagination wander into rooms I never knew existed. I am still becoming. I am allowed to heal.

I feel everything. The hurt behind the joke, the loneliness behind the anger, the person everyone else has decided isn't worth understanding. I want to love people before I decide whether I understand them.

I love a pint at the pub, the laughter spilling past closing time, the friends who know my worst stories and ask me to tell them again. If joy is a sin, why does it feel so much like grace?

I love the way a girl's kiss can set my whole world alight. I love the way a boy's kiss can, too. My heart has never asked permission to find beauty where it finds beauty. Why should I apologize for the places it blooms?

My uncle raised me. My uncle, transgender, the person who knows my soul without asking it to apologize. She's my family, my anchor, and probably my best friend in the world. Tell me, what part of that is a sin?

My aunt and uncle taught me that love is not a finite resource, that a heart can make room without evicting someone else. Their home taught me love without borders. I want to carry that lesson into every room I ever enter.

They say I'm lost. But I've never felt more found than in the life they call a sin. Maybe the tragedy isn't who I've become, but how hard they worked to make me hate her.

Everyone could use some happy news: A landscape architect and his mother spent 5 years making Niu Lai, which is by all accounts a gawd awful animated film, but at least its created by humans and it is kicking the crap out of an AI generated film.

ToonHive@toonhive.bsky.social

China’s first AI-generated theatrical film, ‘Sanxingdui: Future Past’, has bombed at their domestic box office, only making $121,000 USD against a budget of $1.5M USD. In contrast, the crudely animated ‘Niu Lai’ made nearly $10M USD against a budget of $200-500 USD.

Honestly, who am I to parent-shame? I was taken from my mom when I was 13 and adopted by my aunt and uncle. My mom missed the last 5 years of my life, but I still think she could come up with three nice things to say about me without needing AI to do it for her. Cool AI achievement, Marissa Mayer

Honestly love seeing cities realize that it's about people, not cars. We need more of this in Galway #speirgorm

I've always believed Oxford Street could be so much more than a road. Today we begin a new chapter as the nation’s high street goes traffic free, creating a place where people can spend time, enjoy the atmosphere and experience the very best of our city.

We survived #StormBoelo with just a few broken branches around here. No major flooding or power outages locally. Proper chill Sunday before the next torrential gale hits us #speirgorm

My Review of The Invite (2026) #movies #filmsky Overall I really liked ‘The Invite’ and wow, it’s awkward in the best way. The kind of cringe that creeps under your skin.

Not everything lands. Seth Rogen character, for me, felt a bit like a greatest hits version of himself. It pulled me out of the story now and then.

Still, I’d call it worth watching if you like quiet, character-driven dramas. It’s not popcorn movie night. It’s more tea-at-10pm reflection.

What worked for me was how it lets you sit with a marriage that’s messy and, honestly, painfully real. That slow discomfort is the point.

Had such a brilliant time in Dublin with my pal! Temple Bar’s touristy and pricey, but it's proper good craic all the same. Now hurtling back West straight into the teeth of #StormBoelo. Thank god for the train, absolute lifesaver! #speirgorm

I posted this on IG, and it is hilarious my friends back in the states are jealous that I can legally go into a pub and order a drink. I think it is hilarious (or really sad) the United States can send an 18 year old off to die in war, but won't let them have a drink

Gorgeous morning in Galway, sun's out with a small breeze left. #StormAusten was hardly a bother here. Got lashed on the walk home from the pub last night but it passed quick. Out for a run then a breakfast roll with Mam. Class morning. #SpeirGorm

Can't wait to head up to town tomorrow for the LOI match, get a few pints on and shift a mate, and then back down home Saturday. Storms Austen and Boelo can shag right off!

This Halloween, if a child doesn’t say “trick or treat” or is missing part—or all—of their costume, please don’t ask, “What do you say?” in an attempt to coax the words out of them. And please don’t ask, “Where’s your costume?” or “What happened to your costume?”
