“The work has divided #AI researchers.” Half the researchers are debating whether to leave the field of AI, and the other half whether to leave academia altogether. They all agree however on one thing: Science is drunk.

Can the new cutting-edge AI models feel pain? They at least behave as if they do, according to a recent study. The work, which has not been peer reviewed, has divided #AI researchers. https://scim.ag/4hHU6BA

FIFA has been for decades nothing but a corrupt clique that partnered with criminals and dictators to steal football from us. Only for power and money. But we are fans and love this precious sport so much that every four years we still put up with their crap. It's getting more difficult every time.

He should, but he won't. He's a Milei fanboi, therefore he has no ethics.

Okay this is going to be unpopular, but Pochettino should sit Balogun tomorrow. Integrity matters, even if Trump will never understand that.

Cruijff: “You always have to make sure you score one more goal than your opponent.” (“Je moet altijd zorgen dat je een doelpunt meer scoort als de tegenstander.”)

say what you want about the run of play but the sport absolutely should reward being ruthless and clinical

And the Estatutos de limpieza de sangre (blood purity statutes) established discrimination based on ancestry by shifting the focus from current religion to lineage. Converts were considered “new Christians” who still carried Jewish or Muslim “blood”, which was seen as intrinsically impure. >

They’re using the word “Reconquista” because they’re trying to stealth past normal Americans who don’t know anything about Portuguese and Spanish history. Following the Reconquista there was over 100 years of Inquisition: systematic torture and murder of Muslims, Jews, and assorted “witches”.

There are so many no-good, terribly bad, wrong, AI-generated anatomical diagrams out there. Here's one I found on the website of an actual clinic in Minnesota. Yikes. Be careful out there.

In 1621, Jan Pieterszoon Coen, governor of the Dutch East India Company, arrived at the Banda Islands to commit genocide. Coen and his mercenaries killed most of the population and enslaved the few survivors because the Bandanese continued to trade their spices with merchants other than the Dutch.

By praising the genocidal Dutch East India Company (VOC in Dutch) and “capitalism’s full potential,” never before has an AI booster made the neocolonialist, exploitative nature of the AI industry as explicitly clear as Milei does in his FT article. www.ft.com/content/f930...

The rest of the quasi-religious rhetoric pales in comparison to defending genocide and colonialism: “As much as the Industrial Revolution freed us from the constraints of human muscle, AI will free us from the constraints of the human brain, pushing productivity beyond our wildest dreams.”

En Europa (donde la regulación ha matado la creatividad y el espíritu emprendedor) todo dios bebiendo cerveza y mirando la final de la champions mientras en Silicon Valley no paran de innovar para dar los últimos toques a la superinteligencia.
