Hello #PortfolioDay, how are you? I love working with traditional ink + graphite (but have been using acrylic markers), and my illustrations tend towards cryptids, folklore, the moon & water. I hope to meet more ink-based artists!

I am officially in the 'ugly stage' of this work.

Art is coming, but it can't be rushed. I did get a piece published in @fraidycatpress.bsky.social so you should absolutely support these wonderful people!

I've never painted minis but I'm looking forward to beautifying these two. The Palatine is going to be painted in the Order of the Ebon Chalice (my character Ursula) while the standard bearer will be... made to look ultra-holy. #40k #miniatures

I had fun! No reason, no rhyme, just throwing down colour for the sake of colour and figuring out brush strokes. Plus wet to dry, dry to wet, etc. I'm not even actively trying to learn techniques at this time.

John Blanche was an amazing illustrator who brought the grimdark setting of 40K to life from 2nd Ed. and onwards. His style is going to be missed. There's something powerful in his raw and traditional work that can't be captured in the digital.
