@edsbs.bsky.social My grandmother, a two-time widow and massive Bridge fanatic, once told a 12 year-old me, “The only man under whose bed I would put my shoes is Omar Shariff.” When she said this, she was in her late 70’s, only wore house coats, and had both an oxygen tank and a hunchback.

It’s been about 6 months since we lost Charlie. Between losing him and sending a kid to college, my house is very quiet and often lonely.

@mattpt55.bsky.social the most disappointing part of the race was the tires. No tire should ever go 3/4 of a race and essentially not degrade. The lack of deg at the front end robbed what could have been a dramatic race of any drama.
