Joining the team for the fantastic Angeliki Stogia. If you’re in Gorton and Denton, tomorrow is your chance to elect an MP who will focus on the things that really matter to you. Vote for Angeliki for unity, not division 🌹

We hear time and again on the doorstep about issues accessing basic health care, and it’s not good enough. Today in Lanark was no exception. In May, Clydesdale will have the chance to elect a true local champion and I’m looking forward to voting for Lynsey Hamilton to be Clydesdale’s MSP🌹🗳️

✅ Day One rights ✅ Strengthening sick pay ✅ Banning Fire & Rehire and exploitative zero-hours contracts The biggest upgrade to workers’ rights for a generation will make a difference to my constituents in Hamilton and Clyde Valley, and people across our country. Labour will make work pay.

🌷 🌺🌸What a wonderful morning at Hope Church Blackwood & Kirkmuirhill where I had the honour of opening their Garden Open Day. A huge thank you to Rev Ian Watson for inviting me into such a warm and welcoming church, a place for worship, reflection and good company at the heart of the community 🌸🌺🌷

Thanks to everyone who came to my coffee morning, and to Hamilton South Parish Church for hosting with such great hospitality. Cllr Celine Handibode dropped in too and we’ll pick up on all the issues people raised. Looking forward to more of these across the constituency in the coming weeks ☕️

I’ve been a regular visitor to New Lanark for years and it was a pleasure to catch up with Kate this morning to talk about their plans. New Lanark is famous across the world and a big part of our local history, they’re looking to the future while protecting the heritage of this incredible place

Thank you to the community groups, businesses and organisations that have met me this year. I’ve been inspired by your talent, compassion and sheer determination to get things done. You make Hamilton and Clyde Valley a better place for all of us. Here’s to another year of working together.

A year ago today I was elected to be Member of Parliament for my home, Hamilton and Clyde Valley. Locally and nationally, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved so far and starting my second year ready to keep delivering on our promise of change.

Our Armed Forces put their lives on the line for us every day. It was a pleasure to meet Al Carns, Minister for Veterans, to hear about what the government is doing to support military families. Thank you to all who serve.

I'm delighted that we have made contact with the owners of the old DWP building in Lanark and work has begun to make it safe. Thank you to everyone who has been in touch about this, you are absolutely right to expect better of our town centre.

What a pleasure today to be at the Kirkin’ of the Lord Cornet Elect as Lanimer celebrations kick off in Lanark. The highlight of the church service for me was the beautiful singing by pupils of St Mary’s. A really wonderful morning. ⛪️

Across the constituency today: campaigning in Larkhall, Hamilton for meetings then back to Lanark. I’m so lucky to live in and represent this incredible place. I will never take it for granted. Just 3 days until the HLS by election and your chance to vote for a true local champion, Davy Russell 🌹🗳️

A fantastic start to the day at the Eddlewood Football Tournament, thanks to Eddlewood Football Club for putting on a brilliant event. Then a visit to Stonehouse, and back out on the doors in Hamilton. Just a few days to go till polling day and the chance to vote for local champion Davy Russell 🌹🗳️

It was an absolute pleasure to be at The Fountain in Lesmahagow today, there’s something there for everyone. Then my advice surgery was in Brocketsbrae. I hold surgeries around the constituency, if you need help please contact my office and we’ll set you up with an appointment 📅

It’s been brilliant to be at home in the sunshine welcoming old friends and new, I can’t guarantee this weather but there’s always a warm welcome. Thank you to everyone who’s spoken to us over the last few weeks, and on the 5th June don’t forget to vote Davy Russell, your local Labour candidate 🌹

On the 80th anniversary of VE Day, I’m thinking with gratitude of the individuals and the generation who sacrificed so much for our freedom. Today is an opportunity to commemorate, thank the veterans who are still with us, and pay our respects to those who gave their lives. Their legacy lives on.

Yesterday we passed legislation that will secure the future of British Steel. This was made possible by the decisions to stabilise and rebuild our economy, and driven by our promise to work in the national interest.

From local war heroes to our brilliant community groups, there’s so much to celebrate in Hamilton and Clyde Valley, and I’m supporting my constituents with a wide range of issues. A few recent highlights at home and in parliament:
