#Oblivion Before The Door In Niben Bay, Deliberating. My most psychological piece to date, inasmuch as it depicts a friendly clash of character. The sanguine dunmer is eager to go on an adventure to Shivering Isles (where he was born), while the phlegmatic orsimer hesitates. #elderscrolls

Mori Sosen painted monkeys with ink and light color on silk. This hanging scroll dates to the early 1800s. It's part of the Edo period's artistic output in Japan.

She came to him asking what Sotha was doing. “Replicating Life” he replied. She continued asking why Sotha was doing. “Reenacting God” he replied. She left understanding. Such was Seht; precise, point and poignant. #morrowind #elderscrolls #baroque #almsivi #sothasil

Morrowind WIP: Cliffracer Ouroboros A bedeviled painting of many turns and troubled development. Originally a painting of two Six House Dagoths brawling on the slopes of Red Mountain, believe it or not. Then redirected into a commission. The client went incommunicado years ago. Or was it me?..

Died (alas!) on this day in 1693, in Amsterdam, Willem Kalf. Extraordinary still life painter. Here from 1653, drinking horn & lobster. A+ diagonals there! Strangely energetic for painting of dead things.

Every point, including the favourable comparison of Baldur's gate 1 versus the 2.

I wholeheartedly agree with every point she's made in her analysis of those games. I was planning to paint something Baldur's Gate 2 specific just so I had a pretext to post on the respective subreddit while giving them mods a vociferous rebuke for booting her out for speaking the truth!

fell down a rabbit hole, apparently the most thorough guides for Baldur's Gate 1&2 are written by a woman who has been thoroughly blogging all her video game opinions since the 1980s. she gave Baldur's Gate 3 a 2.1/10 rating and scathingly calls it a reddit RPG lilura1.blogspot.com/2024/01/Redd...

In PTR there's this idea of full Chinese zodiac animals for Akaviri races. Filling in the rest of the minor races. This family portrait noticeably lacking a huge Red Dragon though. I'll have to add one to the long list of things to draw✌️. #elderscrolls #morrowind #akavir #projecttamriel

Portrait of Goris the Maggot King Location: Grazelands. V**** Tomb. Disclosing the exact location would be scandalous, as it would implicate a noble family of pre-eminent status in neglecting their ancestral tomb to the point of undead infestation. #morrowind #baroque #elderscrolls #redoran

More weapons for Kromlech - this time for the bronze age Barrow Folk. (who tend to rise from their unquiet burial mounds lately) Again, lots of real world stuff in there.

Reminds me of all the paintings of Circe (i.e. the sorceress) of the period. Those are useful like no other as references for painting fantasy clothing, I've learned from experience.

Self-portrait as Pictura by Elisabetta Sirani of Bologna, painter & teacher. Her birthday was yesterday (in 1638) but her day is going to be today. At least on this bsky account.

Menta Na, lieutenant of Molag Bal embarrassed his master by taking a prolonged leave of absence to Mundus - to Vvardenfell of all places - to do not some destruction on the mortals but to lazy about in the cavernous ruins of Kora Dur. Eventually Bal employed a mortal champion to hunt Menta Na down.
