Can pretty much guarantee that Bacchus consented to this interaction

Rode my bicycle on the MBT in DC today. And I'm annoyed that it seems harder to pedal back home than it does to go downtown. I like to tell myself, it's because it's uphill to go home - but in my heart of hearts, I know it's because I had Potbelly for lunch.

T-3 hours to my ticket of #JetLagTheGame! I figure it must be exciting, if they decided to land the last two episodes in theaters. It would suck if it turns out that the game has been decided already - and we're just in for a 2 hour denoument.

Uh oh! Sam & Ben are winning Jet Lag: The Game? Don't get me wrong - I'm rooting for Sam. (Always do.) It's just if this game teaches anything, it's that hubris will always come back to bite you. I just know, Sam & Ben are going to overthink something and have it blow up in their face.

Here's a business idea - someone please pick it up. Start a business like Amazon, but instead of letting someone dump out a bunch of Scrabble tiles and register a new seller - you actually manage your sellers. Maybe even insist they don't have misleading AI advertisements?

Yay! Jet Lag: Japanorama finale is in theaters, and near me! Bought the ticket, and believe it or not the 3 showings at the theater are almost sold out. (Transit nerds in Washington DC? Really? I thought transit nerds were few and far between.)

Uh oh. I smell hubris with Sam & Ben on the latest episode of Jet Lag. Don't they realize the theme of Jet Lag the Game is that hubris always comes back to bite you!

I wonder if the problems with AI behaving badly, is that AI doesn't really have any good roll models? I mean, humans have been fantasizing about AI taking over the world for decades - and now AI has read all that, and assumes it's going to take over the world?

Just saw a National Guard commercial- showcasing the gritty lifestyle of Guard work. Don't be fooled. Apparently, the purpose of the job is to hang around Washington DC looking bored. Not gritty at all.

Ugg. Are you tired of advertising saying: Last day for BOGO! When you know - yeah, they'll probably extend the sale for another 2 days? And, whoops - I missed it. It's a good thing they'll have another BOGO sale in a week. So much urgency for something that really isn't urgent.

Im currently taping up a third (3!) pants sloper pattern. #2 was almost right, but then I tried to sit down. (If it weren't a mockup, I would be embarrassed. ) Anyways, @freesewing.eu - your paper registration marks for taping are 1st class!

Hey Lowes! How come when I look for medicine cabinets, I have to filter through a million copies of the same thing, with those throw-away brand names used by dropshippers? Even when I take out the "Lowes Marketplace" - there are still these well known brands such as "AAJI". 😡

I learned something this week - of course SewSky probably knows this. But if you make your mockups with partially full bobbins from previous projects, you run out the thread - and gift yourself a clean bobbin for the next project! (I'm at 3 bobbins - I'm making pants, and fittings a pain.)

Played my first game of D&D at @rowhaven.bsky.social in DC for their opening weekend! The store looks great, I'll be definitely buying something there for my birthday. The game spaces looked awesome as well. However, D&D isn't for me. I'd love to try Call of Cthulhu. (And I'm always up for Fiasco.)

Ugg! Taping a sewing pattern together, and lined up two of the wrong marks. Didn't notice the error until I got to the next row. It's only 7mm off, but the next row just won't go in. And it's in a pants pattern, so that 7mm (+ all the error it creates) are probably important. Back to the printer.

Am I the only one who does a double-take when I hear about "French Language Demands" in Canada-US talks? On the one hand - what could the demands possibly be? And on the other hand: WTF?

Am I the only one fed up with talking heads saying: OMG! Democrats elected a DSA member in the primary. They are going to be too radical to win Florida! I don't think being an avowed Socialist is really the kiss of death they think it is. If anything, they can help bring the fight to MAGA.

So, patches - where you give an organization money so you can advertise on their behalf? If you call them iron-on patches, please make sure they are iron-on. I was sewing an awesome Archaeopteryx patch from the Chicago Field Museum, and the glue nearly gave out. (After what 2 minutes of handling?)

And in other news, many people all over the Northern Hemisphere are getting 8 hours of excess heat per day.

I'm currently psyched for Count Binface - Although, as a resident of Maryland in the US; my opinion on the race means just about as much as my vote for President. (i.e. none at all.)
