Sales: Research says that consumers are looking for non-Chinese made goods. What do we do. Our products are made in China. Marketing: BRB that's a simple copy change, no one will ever suspect.

When I was hosting/producing the podcast, I always tried to focus on the audio of games. And get the orignal files used in games to showcase them. This is one of my favs that I got from Vince and the Respawn team for Titanfall. I loved hearing this when my Atlas Class Titan was dropping down

My newest nerd project: I am downloading (where available) PDF manuals of all of the electronics in my home. I then have AI ingest them, strip out any non-English pages and the kick out a the much smaller and screen optimized version.

Each summer evening, I am treated to a piano recital from one of my neighbors who lives on the other side of the forest behind my home. I need to find out who they are and thank them for this midsummer musical gift.

PSA:m Meta now lets anyone use your Instagram photos in AI images without your consent. Opt-OUT of Meta’s new AI image generation tool, Muse Image. Take action now to protect your likeness. Below is what you need to to do protect yourself

How to opt out: 1️⃣ Go to your profile 2️⃣ Click the 3 bars in the top right 3️⃣ Scroll down to ‘Sharing and reuse’ 4️⃣ Turn off for both Posts & Reels Note: the wording on this is also troublesome. Is on opt out? or off opt out?

My hot sauce taste has changed (matured?) over the years. I don’t care about how hot a sauce is, I want one that is of course tasty, but also complex. This is my new favorite. It’s just three ingredients as well. A bit pricey, but quality costs. stuzzihotsauce.com

Indeed, RIP OM. He was a remarkable force of genuine, thoughtful human intelligence in this age of artificial intelligence.

Rest in peace to Om Malik. I've followed his writing for decades and we got together for a WidgetCon event he hosted back in the day.

My ONN card is no longer recognized by my Switch 2 - from what I can gather a console firmware update hosed it. Time for a warranty replacement! If you have one - be careful !

Some News: @XBOX is kicking off its 25th anniversary and they invited me as a special guest to celebrate the community! I'll be hosting today's fanfest celebration in LA and I can't wait to catch up with all of you.

Scott Pelley being let go from 60-Minutes is emblematic of the issue in today's media landscape. The serious, talented dedicated people with real journalists integrity are being marginalized. The focus is to be first, not right. This is completely wrong.

Something I've been noticing lately: "wanting to" showing up everywhere it doesn't belong. "We've been wanting to address this." "I've been wanting to reach out." News anchors. Customer service. Casual conversation. It always sounded wrong. I finally looked it up.

"Want" is a stative verb. It describes a condition you're in, not something you're actively doing. Continuous tenses (-ing forms) are reserved for actions in progress — things with a start and an end point.
