In response to Taco Bell reportedly giving people explosive diarrhea, Del Taco has assured its customers that they will only give you regular diarrhea.

“30 minutes to charge! No way I’d ever get an EV!” “I know right. Crazy. Quick question, how long would you wait in line for gas that was $1.50 a gallon?” “Oh, probably an hour. Gas is so expensive right now.”

One tech company makes a product that makes kids want to kill themselves, and another tech company makes a product that convinces them to do it, and nobody from those companies has gone to prison for it.

There’s a secret trans theme in #Port87. I’ve never disclosed it publicly, but for #transdayofvisibity I’m going to. Go into your settings on desktop, open the theme dropdown, then type “traaaaaaaaaaaaaa”. There are other secret themes, but for now, enjoy pink/white/blue #email. Best color theme! :)

What made me want to do this now is the recent announcement that #Gmail will use #AI to read your email and give a summary. You know, because we can't be bothered to decide whether an email is important without an AI risking our security to tell us we need to pick up the dog from the vet.

I’m rewatching Stranger Things season 4, set in 1986. There’s a scene with code on the screen. It shows: Turbo C++ - not invented until 1990 HTML - 1993 HTTPS - 1994 (called htsps on the screen) PHP - 1995 CSS - 1996 Iframe - 1997 C# - 2000 .NET Framework - 2002 CoffeeScript - 2009 Flexbox - 2009

I don’t think #Framework knows they _are_ political. They don’t offer the best or cheapest products, they appeal to _political positions_. Keeping “politics” out means the **only selling point** is no longer valid. It’s so sad to see this atrocious response. community.frame.work/t/framework-...

I just spent the past 13 hours optimizing my #Postgres database. The result for query to load the emails (when you have tens of thousands in your account) when you first open #Port87 Before: 0.370 seconds After: 0.050 seconds All index scans, no bitmap heap scans. Woo!

I’m not surprised that Tatis didn’t catch that, because that’s a nearly _impossible_ ball to catch, but I’m kind of surprised Tatis didn’t catch that, because that’s a _nearly_ impossible ball to catch. #sdpadres #padres

Beware: do not click a link with an @ in the URL!!! The part on the left is a username for the domain on the right. Here, it looks like a domain (ups dot com), but the real domain is a phishing site (servicepsa dot pics). This text is a scam designed to steal personal info. Beware of these links!

The Cybertruck’s frame is made of aluminum. Gallium is a liquid metal that is non-toxic, but **extremely corrosive** to aluminum. So, under no circumstances should you ever put gallium on a Cybertruck’s frame. It will invisibly eat away at the frame until the Cybertruck crumbles into power.

I personally don’t think it’s a good idea for the government to be using a truck with such an easy to exploit vulnerability that would basically be impossible to detect until the Cybertruck just falls apart. It’s a terrible design for so many reasons, but this one should be a deal breaker.

Just a little PSA that you should share to help spread awareness. It will completely destroy a Cybertruck if you put gallium on its frame, so absolutely **do not** do that.

I had finally come to terms with my inability to properly stretch pizza dough. Just one of those things I can't do. Move on. Now I see this and need to jump into a mine shaft.

Just had a bit of a scare where my browser crashed, and I lost all my tabs, because my session file got erased. Luckily, I had a backup from last night! BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP! If you're not running regular backups, you need to. If you're on Linux, I can't recommend Pika Backup enough!

i don't post much but this has been on my mind tonight and i had to say something. After the purge at the JCS tonight I feel like we are only days away from Trump dissolving the Congress. What happens then?

When I got my first computer, it had a 100MB hard drive. I distinctly remember thinking, “100MB is so much space. How am I going to fill this up?” A couple weeks ago I bought an additional 16TB hard drive, because the first one that holds all my definitely legally obtained media is getting full.
