Howitt

Spent past week in SF for work, and happen to also run my first 5k. Was not on my physical challenge fitness card, but there it is. 😃

can’t believe my stupid ass has imposter syndrome while elon musk is confidently marching around twitter HQ and chewing on wires until something breaks

Re:Inforce was awesome this week. Learned plenty. Stayed hydrated. Lost a lot of sleep from one of the Disneyland events.

Hitting #awsreinforce this week. Looking forward to what’s new.

Finally had chance to see GOTG3. @jamesgunn.bsky.social nailed it. Went home and proudly pulled my Brown Zune off the shelf. Looking for the software to load it up now.

At the Hollywood Bowl, watching The Cure. Robert Smith at the end was amazing. Stayed a bit and seemed genuinely appreciative of the love from the audience.

My first skeet from a Lakers game!!! Hoping to make history. 😀

Got notification my application has been finalized after passing the exam. I have my CISM certification!

Ran a search as a test. Does Twitter filter Bluesky in their searches? Because it sure seems that way.

Just watched “Air”. Holy smokes, the 80’s music selection was perfect.

Version 1.0. Bunch of things to correct for the next time around. Haven’t sanded or filled it. Just print and glue. But given I got to do this with my kids… I love it.

Maybe I’m late with the observation, but Twitter is rapidly becoming what Parlor and Truth Social wanted to be.

Here’s a link (not to the bird site) of what i said about the town hall https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2023/05/11/2020-election-result-lies-response-bash-tapper-donald-trump-town-hall-vpx.cnn

I can’t even begin to start explaining how bad an idea this is.

No idea if this is an unpopular opinion, but here goes. I kinda miss the hashtags.

…and if the increase of hate/science denialism wasn’t enough for them… https://www.neowin.net/news/twitter-admits-to-a-security-breach-that-allowed-everyone-to-see-twitter-circle-tweets/

More and more of the anti-science, anti-vax, pro-MAGA crowd are returning to Twitter. The more the Bluesky platform grows, the more I look forward to leaving what has become a cesspool.

Bambu p1p arrived a few days ago. I’ve discovered: 1) This is WAY easier than dealing with the Ender series of printers. 2) The gatekeeping by a lot of the 3D printer community at large, is very real.

This. So very much this.

I still can’t believe people PAY for the blue checkmark on THAT platform.

May the 4th be with you. (Is it sacrilege that I may watch an episode of “Strange New Worlds” tonight?)

Bluesky is taking off. And now I’m reading Gmail will have verified checks now. Without cost. Interesting times online indeed! https://techcrunch.com/2023/05/03/blue-verified-checkmarks-are-coming-to-gmail/amp/

Hello World! (At least Bluesky world.)
