One thing about the whole "you have to read books if you want to be an author" thing is that if you aim to do more than just genre inbreeding, you have to read stuff outside the genre you're writing, too. May even have to read [shudders] nonfiction.

The more I've been using Obsidian digitally, the more I've been liking notebinders for the types of journaling where I want things organized into topics. Most sketchbooks* and braindump books I still like thread-bound tho. (※ With the exception of my comic thumbs book bc I like printing templates)

Shoutout Chris forreal because ever since I started doing this I've never had a drippy, oversaturated alcohol marker leak onto my drawings ever again. I wonder if capping them puts air pressure on them and brings ink up towards the nib?? No clue. But uncapping while using solved it.

SO for the past month or so I haven't been able to use my cintiq which had a good run of about 10 years. Long story short, I got a brand new Huion yesterday and am finally able to draw again! I've missed Ludwig. 🎨 #art #ocsky

LRP I'm figuring out the ratio rn but I need like… maybeee MMMM… 40-50% of my art to feel like hobbyism/playtime in order for me to not explode. Maybe even 60% at this current point in time. Could only need as low as 30% in the future though.

Reminder that "random bull shit go" is perfectly valid for hobby art. You are allowed to use references, you are allowed to make mistakes, you are allowed to leave things unfinished, you are allowed to say good enough, and you are allowed to post your art just for fun. ❤️✌️
