Haaa! "Stop!" is a sticker; the note below is part of the cover art. This was the edition issued after "girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl you know it's girl y

This clueless love note was on the rear insert of a CD I got secondhand recently. Actually, "All You Zombies" (track 3) and (per my notes) "Where Do The Children Go" (track 7), at a minimum, are good too #ClassicAlternative

#mnwild It's incomprehensible this new Wild+ didn't make available a commercial subscription package licensed for public exhibition. A +1 to Tom Reid’s and any others who are choosing to stay aboveboard on this, even though it's inconvenient for everyone www.twincities.com/2026/10/12/b...

twincities.comBring your laptop to the bar when Wild play; businesses are barred from showing Wild+ games (for now)While licensing negotiations continue, bar owners have been told they could face large fines for airing games for mass viewing through their personal streaming accounts.

People will associate with those in their peer group first and foremost, "peer group" being those they can most fundamentally relate to, e.g. those of comparable race/ethnicity. And the Somali community is a pretty distinct and sizable minority here in #Minnesota

One last #StPaul thing. This is the picnic area just past the easternmost Union Depot parking lot. Been curious about it. It's a tad forlorn at present, with that end of the parking lot being used as a staging area for the bridge work [?] and creating a bit of a dead end

Harbinger of things coming: the European Christmas Market at Union Depot in #StPaul. But we have a lot of fall goodness and the winter kickoff (with sports, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc) to enjoy first

A little #StPaul wandering afterward. Outside the Palace Theatre I ran into...Oysterfest?? If oysters on the half shell (is that what they're called?) is your thing, this was your place. This appears to be put on by the Meritage restaurant/oyster bar just around the corner

At the #TwinCitiesMarathon Ba daa da-daa da-daa Yeah yeah yeah yeaaaaaah yeaaaaaah THIS is the food truck I went to and enjoyed a lot--and failed to document--last year at aquatennial at the waterfront downtown

Fan zone. Last year there was some undue negativity with the organization, with attractive/desirable designs/logos/etc being used internally when more modest/conservative ones would have been more appropriate, and the desirable ones accessible to the public. This didn't occur this year

What was unexpected was all the costuming: kids trick-or-treating at the "Trunk-or-Treat". Even though I'm not a kid trick-or-treating, if I go next year maybe I should rock some costuming just to add to the atmosphere

#mnwild And so it began--and in good fashion: 3-1. And the tally last night while listening on the radio: of the Enchanted Word, the Counterpart, the Related and the Synonym, all four were represented

Oops. #Dune novels duplicity. Out of Navigators, Sisterhood and Mentats, I was almost certain one of those I still needed, but wasn't sure which. Looking (not carefully enough) through pictures of the books stored in the locker, it looked like I needed Mentats. I actually had all three

An evergreen pleasure: deleting a title off the get-it list that was on there since the early/mid-2000s The numbers are priority key: 1 = low; 2 = medium; 3 = high; 4 = top #ClassicAlternative

If you're representing officials running for election and are displaying the #RebelLoon you have my immediate and at least initial support. Choosing to condemn all this mistreatment of and thuggery toward immigrants and be in solidarity on this matter goes a hell of a long way with me

An Event THREE-PACK for Sep 12! First: Let's Have a Parade! The #Burnsville Fire Muster Parade. I said last year the festival itself is perpetually off the table and it still is. But the parade is absolutely a go

🧵2026 #MNStateFair on Sep 5 Going by past experience, not much good happens at fairs after ~9pm, and most things close for the night around then anyway. And I'm not going anywhere near the midway due to too many negative experiences in the past. Wrapped up the night at the International Bazaar

Last year there was some apparel I was considering getting, but after finishing my falafel bowl and going back, everybody had just finished closing for the night. The plan became: go back next year and see if there was this seller + the same or similar item. Did this last week and scored it

2026 #MNStateFair on Aug 29 and Sep 5 An assortment of knit apparel and items, and yarn work. Also featured is a citation of that one instance where #StPaul gets dissed, which led to the creation of #WinterCarnival

2026 #MNStateFair on Aug 29 More creative arts protesting thuggery and recognizing Minnesotan solidarity. Rightfully labeled "occupation" here, and not "crackdown". The word "crackdown" carries undercurrents of legitimacy, and there was nothing whatsoever legitimate with this thuggery

🧵2026 #MNStateFair on Aug 29 This style of headwear is one thing I would have liked to have joined in on, as a solidarity act, at the #NoKings protest on March 28, if I had known about it far enough ahead of time. I had only a cursory awareness of it beforehand; ditto with the #RebelLoon

🧵2026 #MNStateFair on Sep 5 Missed this last week in the bees and honey exhibit in the Ag Hort building. This (and one or two other things) are loosely inspiring some apparel I've had an idea about; I had outerwear in mind
