TBH not very happy with most of these, but its alright, I'm sure I'll get to do at least a couple of drawings im happy with before the year is over. These last couple of months I was real focused on gamedev stuff and I feel I didnt leave as much time for illustration.

🫀 The Cloud District opens its doors on October 29th 🫀 Here's a snippet of the beginning of the game as a treat ! Thank you for the 2k wishlists on Steam !!! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame #psx #unity

The prospect of spending years working on a game and then having some loser hack it to pieces and throw it into Minecraft for some quick views and a laugh sounds terrifying. Same goes for my illustrations.

I don't have an inch of patience for these people. I want to be invisible to them. Makes me want to limit myself to in-person events/ sharing things with friends only. It's crazy that by simply sharing our work online we are already contributing to the shit engine.

Shalott, my short comic inspired by Alfred Tennyson's poem, is now available to buy digitally in English and in both digital and physical formats in Spanish 🌙🍂 You might enjoy this if you like Arthuriana, Pre-Raphaelite art and classic shoujo manga. And it's only 1$! ko-fi.com/skogs_dotter...

I've been using unity for 9 and always been making some form of dungeon crawler, but this iteration, Piteous Metals itself, is probs closer to 4-5 years. The full thing might still take 8 years to complete, but I thought it would be worth bringing up.

Fully agree with Melos here! Imo action games (specially souls) have been leaning way too much into quick reaction timing to animation tells and it's all becoming a bit dull to me.

This wouldn't be as big of an issue to me if the games dropped the focus on combat and looked at ways of expanding exploration and making it more engaging. The strange worlds and characters have always been the big draw for me, I could care less about flashy combat.

With most boss fights taking place in a round open arena and roll direction being trivial in determining whether or not you survived an attack, then we might as well be fighting on a 1d axis surrounded by pretty but meaningless environments.

Spent a couple of days working on a tool to help record a trailer for my game and ended up fixing a ton of things that have been broken for years and I was putting off... Including: - NPC path finding animations - Adaptative audio - Faulty post processing - Idle animation transitions Im happy!

I wish the souls community would stop hyperanalyzing every bit of lore in the game and instead shifted their attention to overarching themes/concepts It gets to a point where ppl are doing backflips to justify something clearly re-writen half way through dev that doesnt stand at all on solid ground

I too have an issue w people who talk about ~Legendary big M~ as being the sole reason behind everything in the game. I believe in author theory but this feels cultish at times.

Theorycrafting and headcanons are cool but lets not pretend there's always a definitive solution to the mysteries. Besides, the more interesting theories are always the ones that consider the themes and not just the ingame texts
