As a former small business owner, I can’t imagine trying to build a business with Trump’s tariffs and diesel prices having doubled because of his war with Iran. When we opened up the first brewpub in Denver, it wasn’t easy.

We needed support. We needed investment. We needed an environment that allowed us to grow. We need to get off the backs of small business owners and create the environment for them to grow. End the tariffs. End the war.

Before President Trump’s illegal war in Iran, diesel was at $3.27/gallon. Now, it’s at $6.60/gallon. We met with truckers and other Coloradans impacted by diesel prices in Commerce City that have DOUBLED here in the past year. The Iran War needs to end. NOW.

Trump will try anything to pump his flailing approval rating even if that means selling you out and cutting a deal with Putin. He’s using your taxpayer dollars to pay for Russian diesel, money that Putin will use in his war against Ukraine. www.cnbc.com/2026/10/17/t...

cnbc.comTrump's Russia diesel deal may offer Putin more than money — and spell trouble for UkraineTrump's diesel deal may do little for Russia's finances, but it raises bigger questions about Ukraine's leverage, U.S. support and Putin's next moves.

Pastor Nalwamba, a 78-year old Coloradan who has spent decades living and preaching in America, was released from ICE custody this past week after 13 months of detainment. ICE didn’t show a shred of human decency, not even providing him a wheelchair even though he was unable to walk.

In Trump’s second term, the average Colorado household has paid: → $1,700 in tariff costs → $836 more on gas → $310 more on groceries → $621 more on housing We need to end the tariffs, end the Iran war, and put a stop to an admin that prioritizes billionaires over families.

MAGA’s $1 trillion cut to our healthcare system means people will go without care, people will get sick, and people will die. Reversing these cuts is the first step to giving Americans what they deserve: affordable, accessible, and universal healthcare.

Our hearts are with the Southern Colorado communities impacted by heavy rains and flooding. We’re coordinating with state and federal partners to support recovery efforts and help get these communities the resources they need. www.denverpost.com/2026/10/23/p...

denverpost.comGov. Polis declares disaster emergency for southern Colorado floodingIn the Pagosa Springs area, major flooding has damaged roads, bridges and culverts and forced schools to close Friday.

The Trump admin continues to ramp up its interference with our free and fair elections. We won't stand for it. Coloradans deserve to have their voices heard without the Trump admin looming over them at the ballot box. The DOJ should respect Colorado election laws.

denverpost.comJustice Department plans to send federal election observers to a metro Denver county, prompting concernsThe Colorado Secretary of State’s Office says it was considering the Justice Department’s Adams County request in collaboration with the state’s attorney general but had not yet granted it.

Yet another attack on science by an admin that’s endangering Americans. Being able to predict extreme weather saves lives and this ability is crucial to combat the impacts of a changing climate.

The Trump administration’s cuts to weather satellites will set the country back nearly a decade, experts say. https://cnn.it/483oQr5

When we started Free Application Day in Colorado as Governor, we aimed to tear down barriers that prevented Colorado kids from pursuing a college education. The results have spoken for themselves. Millions in waived application fees each year, helping kids reach their full potential.

cbsnews.comColorado residents can apply to college for free this week as part of statewide programThis week, Coloradans looking to pursue higher education can save money while doing so. The ninth annual Colorado Free Application Days are Tuesday, Oct. 20 through Thursday, Oct. 22.

Ways we can lower costs for Americans: → Reverse MAGA’s cruel healthcare cuts → End Trump’s illegal war with Iran → End Trump’s reckless tariffs → Reinvest in clean energy → Expand childcare All things we’ll continue fighting for.

From Red Rocks to The Mish, Colorado’s music venues bring culture, visitors, and economic opportunity to communities across our state. Our American Music Tourism Act, just signed into law, will help bring even more visitors to Colorado venues!

We’re glad to hear that the SBA has approved disaster relief for Colorado communities impacted by the Aspen Acres Fire. These loans are a roof, a payroll, a new start. We’ll continue pushing for more assistance for Colorado communities that need it.

We’ve been all around Colorado hearing how MAGA’s Big Ugly Betrayal Act has made healthcare inaccessible for people. We need a healthcare system that’s affordable, universal, and actually WORKS for working families.

Our hearts are with the families of the children and educators killed yesterday at an Oregon elementary school. No parent should fear for their kid's life at school. No kid should fear they'll die at school. Colorado knows this grief too well, and we know it doesn't have to be this way.

How many more kids do we have to lose? How many more teachers, parents, brothers, and sisters before the people standing in the way finally work with us? I'm sending love to these families. But love isn't enough. We have to act.

American families can’t afford Trump’s economy. It’s never ending, higher prices on everything from gas to groceries to health care.  End the war. End the tariffs. End the corruption. Get back to lowering costs for working people. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/10...

nytimes.comSoaring Energy Prices Push Inflation HigherThe Consumer Price Index rose 3.7 percent in September from a year earlier, faster than a month earlier, as gas prices surged 34 percent.

Every day Trump’s illegal war in Iran drags on: billions more of your tax dollars burned, servicemembers in harm’s way, and prices rising on everything from diesel to groceries. This war needs to end. Full stop.

Ukrainians have shown extraordinary courage in the face of Russian aggression.  Trump’s response? A diesel deal with Putin and threatening the temporary protected status of 100,000 Ukrainians we welcomed to safety here in the United States. (1/2)

Colder weather is coming. Which means you’re about to turn on your heat.  But this winter, it’s going to cost more – way more.  Gas prices are up. Diesel prices are up. And energy demands are up too. We need all hands on deck while working towards lowering these costs for American families.

Today on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the cultures, histories, and resilience of Native communities — including the two Tribal nations in Colorado. We recommit to honoring every promise the federal government owes and to continue building a relationship worthy of that trust.

Trump and MAGA want to put a price tag on our public lands.  Every time they attempt to sell them, we stop them in their tracks. We won’t let America’s greatest treasures get ripped from the hands of future generations.

We met with Coloradans who are fed up with soaring utility bills.  Here’s what we need to do to make energy cheaper:  ➳ End Trump’s illegal war in Iran  ➳ Fight for energy assistance programs ➳ Make Big Tech foot the bill for their data centers, not Colorado families

Today is Latina Equal Pay Day. When Latinas are paid fairly for their work, families are stronger, businesses grow, and our whole economy does better. We're committed to closing the gap and making equal pay for equal work a reality.
