Grouchy fox, hidden raven

One milkshake to rule the boys, one milkshake to find them, one milkshake to bring them all, and in the backyard bind them.

Heh. I have some very old lingering wav files on the computer that I use to stream music from and, having finished my only meeting today, I started it with shuffle on and the first thing I heard from my speaker was "Spooooooooon" (From The Tick)

I mean, this has been happening since my late twenties. I specifically own a lab coat because one of the ways I was keeping sane during the covid lock downs was taking pictures of mad science hair as I got further and further from having had a professional hair cut.

perfect, no notes

I would very much like the family drama to stop-while I've mostly been out of it my mom hears just enough to be upset and then she starts talking about how she's just going to die to get away from it. (she's already understandably upset that her baby sister passed away)

Watching someone react to hairspray and during “you can stop the beat” he was singing along “you can stop to the ocean and the motion and the potion and the ocean” because he didn’t know the words and I was rolling laughing

jesus christ how are you supposed to get anything done in your life when you have a job

Dear delivery people. It is not delivering an item to toss it on the ground in front of the mail boxes instead of either putting it in the package locker or delivering it to the door. Signed, go fuck yourself because in the hour and half it took me to get out there it's no longer there.

I turned on my tv and got distracted and it started playing a football game and I frantically grabbed for the remote while scolding it like it was a naughty puppy.

The number of people at work that are surprised I coordinate my earrings with my outfit frankly astonishes me. I mean, that's what accessorizing IS

*sigh* Unless I want to find a new roommate I'll probably have to eat the whole rent increase this year. Adulting sucks.

My hair dresser, who I generally quite like, yesterday was mentioning he was really happy with the health suggestions he gets from Gemini because doctors are full of it. I mean, I get health stuff, especially when every expensive trip to the doctor isn't helping is frustrating but...

I don't have two blankets draped around me because I want to smell the air as it rains so I have my office window open, you do! (obviously lying because of course I'm cool enough to do such a thing and I have a lovely afghan my mom crocheted me at work anyway)

Cyndi Lauper is going to be back in Vegas in February. Now the question is should I try to talk someone else into being my concert bitch ;-)

Dear music shuffle, you've played a LOT of Christmas music today and you are just taunting me with winter shut down at this point. Behave.

Confit garlic butter made and in the fridge firming up.

I usually measure vanilla with my heart but this time my heart slipped and a bit more than I meant may have gone into the cookies so we'll see how they turn out. Made with homemade peanut butter though because I have many peanuts on hand.

Saw this and quote retweets were turned off but I wanted to note that the general work till retirement age for a person is working ~50 years if you start working at 25. Yes, you make 2M of over the course of your life but you earn ~40 per year making 30k most of year salary in his example.

Someone at work prints these around Halloween this year and I have astonishingly been polite enough that I haven’t snapped the all up to make a little ghost choir.

the internet peaked on this day and you cannot convince me otherwise

Back from pumpkin festival. One pumpkin beer, one pumpkin vide, art and candles 🎂 probably didn’t need and a mild sunburn achieved.

Dear bake off contestant who ‘hates bread’. Are you human?

My absolute kryptonite for food delivery apps is restaurants offering free garlic bread

Making a new thing

I could have been ageless immortal and fair and joined my dark prince in his flight; but now he is dead and I, I am simply alright. Condemned to a short, bitter lifetime of being…alright.

I suppose trains being late meant I got TWO margaritas before my show

I, er....may need to get this audio book.

Yay! Confirmation that ballot was received.

Dear work person: asking whether it's okay that you let someone break policy after having, indeed, broken policy instead of asking for advice before doing so will not will you any points with me. I do not grant forgiveness. Only shame :-p

Dear local paper. I would be happy to pay a small amount to read you since the local perspective is good but your starting cost being $100 is more than I'm willing to pay for the four things I read a month.

Fox problems: I'm tired but I have to go home and make chili oil so I can make tomorrow's dinner.

Something I noticed this morning-almost all the on public transportation advertising in the bay area at the moment is for various AI things.

The amount of videos I've seen suggested by youtube stating that I was entirely wrong for liking "Astarion' and it makes me a terrible person has been surprising. I have yet to watch one because I'm afraid my eyes will roll straight out of my head if I do.

Just a little breakfast

Having successfully started defending democracy I turn to defending the heath of the world by defeating scurvy, sadly with limited weapons this week (stupid football)

I have been a very good boy and filled out my ballot the first day I had a chunk of time. I will drop it off tomorrow and possibly reward myself with mimosas.

Buying jump rings for the first chain mail project I'm not working from a kit on and having flashbacks to when I started knitting and had no idea how much or kind of yarn I should be buying for things.

Dear fox: Do not look at historical costuming sites when your trying to be better with money or you start lusting after things like this. Do I have an outfit for Dickens or any other thing I go to that goes with these? No. But pretty (no I'm not buying them)

Being very stuffy from allergies and also moderately sugar crashy is a bit of a new hell level of feeling wobbly.

I should just premptively tea dye any white piece of clothing/bedding I own and save myself the time and effort of accidentally knocking over my drink onto things.

Neither universities nor museums nor opera houses nor concert halls nor, even, theatres, should exist to make profit. They are public goods. To educate and elevate the human spirit, to make us better at being citizens and being humans in society, is a public good! They're not cheese.
