Let's all try to make this place less embarrassing than twitter, yeah? Big on games and manga. Read Black Clover.

My base take is cases like this are incredibly hard to win, but if you can get the case far enough, a lot of people will just settle cause it's not worth going through the actual pain of a trial.

Boltgun 2, smartly imo, removes the weapon/enemy level system from the first game. This might make it less in tune with the board game, but the level system made the shotgun in the first game feel borderline useless whereas it's a lot of fun to use in Boltgun 2.

Boltgun 2 Frustrating to hear that some of the team for this has been laid off, cause it is a better game than the original in basically every way. The two issues of the first game, not enough enemy variety and whatever level design, have been addressed, and the new weapons are a lot of fun.

Only real issue that sticks around is some melee enemies need better feedback when they smack you. Granted, there's generally less melee enemies in the game, so it's sorta okay. If you hated the Aspiring Champions from the first game, you'll deal with em way less in Boltgun 2.

NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents My story... www.gamefile.news/p/control-re...

gamefile.newsWho made the art inside Control Resonant? When the developers of Control Resonant needed to fill their video game version of New York City with art galleries, they tapped the talents of people they knew particularly well

After two good foreign election outcomes, the Israel election is one where you kinda hope everyone loses. There are worse villains among them, but they're all villains.

One character archetype that's basically disappeared from media is if you had a series with young kids/teens, chances are there was a kid who was just the fat kid whose central character trait was that he was a fat kid.

I think I'm comfortable saying Dandadan is a bad series now y'all. I think it had a lot of cool ideas and fun fights, but all of that has been drained away and it's just a total slog to read now. I don't think there's a single thing I'm enjoying about the current arc.

A lot of people sorta involved in the political sphere are starting to trot out early voting models for states, and barring a few exceptions like the state of Nevada, that shit is almost entirely guesswork imo. Don't pay attention to it.

The people analyzing the early vote in Texas are guessing for the most part. They might be making somewhat educated guesses, but they're still guesses.

LRT Mass Effect is a funny series cause it alternates between fairly decent space drama and something Zapp Branigan would write. "Okay, what if your ship's AI got an incredibly sexy body she could dance around in?"

Actually looking like Brazil homies had it in the bag all along.

Hellwarden@hellwarden.bsky.social

Pulling for my Brazil homies today, even if I think the most obvious outcome is also the most likely.

Now to hope the US doesn't do something incredibly stupid and evil in response to this. You might hope that elections right around the corner and the war we're losing would be enough to distract the folks in charge...but ehh...

Weird article, but I feel compelled to talk about how no one ever brings up the very strange decision to introduce a second playable character in Angel of Darkness, Kurtis Trent. No one ever brings this guy up cause it would mean actually having to play Angel of Darkness.

Trent seemingly maybe dies at the end of Angel of Darkness, and folks, I'm starting to think they're never gonna follow up on that story thread.

Genuinely confused as all hell at the composition choices in today's Dragon Ball Super rework episode. Incredibly washed out, to the point where it looks like the entire episode is bordering on a flashback? Just very strange.

It's nice to have better drawings, but washing out all the color out of the series is very ??? Especially since the introduction of Beerus isn't this heavy thing, most of his introductory interactions with the cast are very goofy.

The thing about malicious top-down orders from dickheads in the federal government is their orders are often reliant on enthusiastic middlemen. If they don't have that, their orders are often muddled or just ignored.

marine corps boards crossing out their instructions "expel trans marines" and writing in "we keep this trans marine" is, frankly, a great example of what it means that a society is more than just its government

Part of the reason why the Trump admin has been somewhat successful in their efforts to hurt migrants as much as they can is they have basically installed as much enthusiastic middlemen, in the already shitty immigration courts, as they can.

One really neat small thing in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory concerning doors with electronic keypads is you can turn on your heat vision goggles, and if a guard used the door lately, you can see which buttons he pressed by the heat their fingers left behind. It's kinda goofy, but still cool.

A lot of folks discussing whether or not it's fair for people, mainly guys tbf, to tell their friends they like them or not. Whether or not it's shitty to risk a friendship over attraction. My base take is it's fine for a person to ask out a friend, totally fine, that said...

...if a person asks out a friend, gets turned down, and then immediately stopped being their friend, that's shitty. That's really selfish imo.

Shocker, Black Clover whipped ass again this week. Did a great job adapting Nacht's past. Also did a good job fleshing out the fight against the twin devils.

Animation wise it was a bit tamer than the past couple weeks, but that makes sense considering most of it was a flashback. Loved this cut here of the Twin Devils literally twirling around each other to attack Asta's faster.

Unfortunately insulting Trump's sense of decor is probably a good way to get under his skin.

Growing increasingly convinced the creator of Blade got the character through some sort of Faustian bargain, reneged on the deal, and the series is just forever cursed now.

Wanna brag that I have never had the displeasure of hearing anything from Ethan Klein and whatever podcast he's a part of. Always been of the strong opinion 99% of podcasts are evil things, conjured into the world by satanic forces.

While I'm giving political takes, I actually do think Vivek Ramaswamy is simply too unlikable to win that race in Ohio. A pretty big part of politics is just being normal and approachable, and Vivek has the same stink lines that Vance gives off.

I think Abdul is gonna win in Michigan, cause he knows how to run a decent campaign, and Rogers literally looks like a younger version of Trump, but I'll also think he'll do a bit worse than expected. Mainly cause he's running against the greatest political foe, dumb Americans.

Mass Effect seemingly going to join Rayman and Splinter Cell in the strange circle of being a beloved game IP that can't get a new game, but can somehow get a TV show. (Rayman is technically getting a remaster of an old game I guess tho.)

Only thing I have to say about Bioware being closed is I'm sadly kinda surprised it took this long frankly. Real sad ending to a studio that made some great games, hope everyone there can land on their feet.
