it works, it's a Hurcules DJ Control Steel circa 2009, but there's a mapping for it for Mixxx so it works pretty good. time to download eleventy terabytes of house music

Learned from the hotwheels subreddit that the Pontiac Aztek has a little hat and glasses in the trunk as a nod to Breaking Bad, I looked at mine and it's there. lmao

Everytime I try to use GIMP I hate the open source community, I remember when someone tried to fork it to make a more user friendly UI and got harassed enough to drop the project.

Never in my career did I have an exact skills match for an incredibly niche role, that I'm good at, and an internal referral, and still get rejected. I am taking this one really hard.

Yeah and it's gone through 3 creative directors, one of whom *died* and another who got fired for misconduct...in *france*

Beyond Good & Evil 2 reportedly still in development 18 years after being announced, now a "solo-first" adventure www.eurogamer.net/beyond-good-...

If I can't get work maybe I'll move back to Kansas and live with my parents. I've been thinking more and more of that as a possibility because there's no work anywhere.

I honestly see videogame's sliding into the place comics are in now: something that still technically exists but is way smaller and 98% of it is hobbyists.

I've finished Planet Laika, probably one of the best adventure games I've ever played. Right up there with Disco Elysium, probably. Yeah.

Remember when Mitch McConnell's wife's sister drunk drove her tesla into a pond and drowned because she couldn't open the doors? and then like nothing happened?

Becoming a Seattle City council member, unseating Dan Strauss, and closing the Burke Gliman Missing Link by turning Shilsole southbound lane into a bike lane in the span of a week.

"I'm not looking for a handout" actually, I would love a handout. I would be grateful and use it to it's fullest. And when I'm in a better position I'd pay that forward with a handout to someone else.

If you have a million questions in your job application form and the chachpa expires before I can complete it every time, then I cannot apply to your job and I'm not going to try 3 times

There's more games, but far fewer people buying them, because discovery is impossible. I mean, it's already pretty hard to find new things on Steam and I basically have to stumble upon it in the wild.

No jobs to apply for, wondering if the "september surge" is over and now hiring will dry up even more as we head into the holidays. Great

The gamedev subreddit was never good but seeing it slowly go pro-ai because the moderators want it to be, oof, feels even worse.

My puchs clutch is fine? it seems like maybe it got loose off the crankshaft taper because i gave it the beans too hard. oh well, at least I don't have to buy anything for it yet (famous last words). it also has the smallest jet i have and is still running too rich so huh

I saw "you can see everything" in a theater. its a must to see it around people, so you can hear people gasp at moments and think "ok, I'm not crazy"

the bus I was gonna take home is not moving, I left friends under the assumption the bus was in motion and would be nearby 2 minutes ago

the bus i wanted to take didn't move for 15 minutes, then moved so I didn't take my backup bus. the bus was completely full and didn't stop

really would like to use Seattle public transit and not budget an extra 20% time or do a bunch of research to see if there's a sudden huge reroute or service interruption before going anywhere

I worked at a Sonic drive in for a single day. The wallet they gave me was 20 short, so at the end of the day they thought I lost 20 and I had to surrender all my tips. I quit after that

looking at costco gaming computers, some reviews from 8 months back mention the price, and it's $1k less for the same computer. yeeeesh
