How many of you actually attend office hours? Because we are about to start some and I want to have some idea of the value you find in them.

Me ordering seed garlic online: "Oh, I have room for 1 more variety..." 🧄 Me laying out the garden: "Might have bought too much garlic." 😮 Me surveying property limitations: "Maybe could fit 2 more beds in this yard." 🤔

Without a doubt the Claude browser extension is one of the most delightful tools I use nearly daily. That and Granola + my Meko datapack context have changed what's possible to be done for my workload. Shout out to simple flows that make life tolerable.

What a joy it was to come on the DevRelShow and talk about what it is like to shepherd a new community of people. Kudos to @fharper.bsky.social for the fantastic questions.

Join me & my guest @heatherdown.ing, Developer Advocate at @yugabytedb.bsky.social, July 30 at 3PM ET while we discuss all things #devrel & learn more about Meko, Yugabyte's free unified context platform for agents (+ humans) giving AI agents persistent memory. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fa7...

Wrote up a bit about putting our memory product in your app.

Discover why standard MCP wiring makes context persistence optional, and what to do instead. Yugabyte's Heather Downing walks through how to treat persistence as control flow rather than reasoning, using your own code as the MCP client, so the write always happens. www.yugabyte.com/blog/how-to-...

This is Nymeria. She is demonstrating the rare compact zoomies. Ideal for situations where you don't have much room, but still must zoom. 13/10 (TT: ouruntamedtale)

Had fun making this video walkthrough.

Tech teams building production multi-agent AI apps need their agent systems to learn & improve collectively. This new blog explores Meko’s agent memory features, and showcases a short video that demonstrates how Meko gives AI agents persistent, shareable memory. www.yugabyte.com/blog/watch-m...

Woot! Go team! It was fun demoing to the judges panel for this competition.

We are excited to share that YugabyteDB was named 'Best Data Delivery Solution' in the 2026 CODiE Awards! 🏆 ✅Learn more about YugabyteDB: www.yugabyte.com/yugabytedb/ ✅Try Meko (agent-native data infrastructure built on YugabyteDB): cloud.mekodata.ai/signup

Developer advocates don't always bring good news. You bring real feedback. If your product and engineering teams are properly aligned, they will appreciate that. If not, it can feel like you aren't finding the "fans" of your product. If your product is good, people talk about it.

Meko (early access) is now self-service and FREE. Create an account and give your AI agents persistent memory and shared context across Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any MCP client. No credit card or anything. No excuse to not try it out! mekodata.ai

Christmas 2025 was only 6 months ago when Opus came out and exploded the software scene. 6 months from "oh I guess AI is getting good now" to the government saying "you can't all have access to AI" was fast. Anyone on a sabbatical last year and coming back now? What a head spin.

On my way to Mumbai, India for the first time ever. Pretty excited to meet all the awesome tech folks here. If you have been and have food recommendations I'm all ears!

There is NO WAY our engineering and marketing teams could keep up without agentic workflows at this point, the cadence bar has risen so high. It's an absolute necessity at this point. Drinking from the fire hose of everything at once. Thank goodness we have good people steering.

Hey I wrote this! What the heck is this AI memory thing we built and how do you use it? Go check it out 😊

Get Started with Meko: Agent Memory with Built-in Discernment!💡 This new blog from Yugabyte Developer Advocate @heatherdown.ing details what each Meko component does, why it’s important, and the steps you need to take to try it for yourself!🚀 www.yugabyte.com/blog/meko-ag...

It's amazing how much more mentally tired I am working with agents. My prefrontal cortex is sore from constant use. Turns out hand coding was the part that was a familiar pattern and provided a bit of a critical thinking break. The planning of tasks continuously is demanding.

That which gets measured gets gamified. You aren't good at something because you spent the least or the most amount of resources on it. You are good at it because you have descernment of what works best. Imagine if recipes did this. Taste should be the driver of the outcome.

Yesterday I wrote how I'd expect more engineers to get rewarded the next perf reviews and promo cycles for saving token costs for their company. Today already got messages from devs who already got rewarded with eg bonuses for having done exactly this It only makes sense!

It's the end of May. Real progress towards useful models hit the industry during the winter holidays. It's been 6 months. Feels like 6 years at this point.

I have been pessimistic here... Anthropic releasing Opus 4.8 today means Opus 4.7 lasted 6 weeks... this is on the current Nvidia platform (GB200/GB300) By the time Vera Rubin arrives they could be doing weekly releases. New Model Thursdays are coming.

Have teams outside of engineering at your company seen a lot of traction using AI agents now? Just mine? They are really excited about what is possible now.

Yes! 🙌 After months of figuring out building the right thing, we opened early access for Meko to the first group of devs today. Data persistence and automatic learning for AI agents has been fun to tackle. Let's go @Yugabyte! Want to be next? Request! mekoadata.ai

When we have big storms at night, I walk outside at the beginning of it to watch in awe. Thinking of the native peoples of the plains who looked up in this same spot many years ago, wondering if the gods were angry with them and what it all meant. Against nature, we are nothing. Even with radar.

The best thing I have ever done for my focus is to permanently turn off Slack notifications. I find a natural breaking point from a task and then check it. If there is a true emergency, call me. That's rarely happened. Done wonders for me.

"The data is too important to trust to a single vendor." Exactly. This article touches on the mission that @yugabytedb.bsky.social is taking on - persisting AI-generated data, memory, and creating a layer that any tools you choose and switch between can work with. open.substack.com/pub/forkable...

open.substack.comYugabyte bets on open-source memory infrastructure for AI agents"Memory infrastructure for agents will be deeply embedded in production applications--that layer can’t be a proprietary black box."

Early access requests are open. This has been a wild journey to watch come together!
