A great opportunity to learn how to spot AI! This almost looks like a real, colorized photo of a classic @gettyimages.com silver print, except the text on the sign doesn't match the original. The original had four lines; this has three. It doesn't even matter what they say. Original image🔗🧵👇

The sun is setting on Forking Off—for now. In 2025, nearly 400,000 civil servants left federal service. We started this podcast so you could meet the people behind those numbers and understand what they left behind. 30 episodes later, here is our final chapter. 🧵 forkingoff.com/zero-forks-l...

Jill Fields refused to participate in what she says was an unconstitutional FBI probe of protesters. Now the former FBI supervisor and Justice Connection FBI advisory board member is blowing the whistle on the White House pressure behind it.

For an even better idea of how the White House uses your data when they think nobody is looking, have a look at my teardown of a public GitHub repo I found earlier this year containing a pre-release version of their browser extension and its WordPress plugin. ravenwoodintel.com/redline-exte...

ravenwoodintel.comRedline: Analyzing the Next White House Surveillance AppThis is not a benign communication platform; it's a deliberately architected, state-sponsored surveillance apparatus.

Because I believe in showing my work, I put together this little infographic highlighting the White House claim that they don't store user data and the privacy policy describing several ways in which they admit to storing user data. You can't make this stuff up!

ICYMI. The Washington Sun cited our analysis of an early version of the White House's browser extension. That early version included a planned feature to refer users to the Secret Service for investigation. Some features were removed following our report, but it continues to track user behavior.

Experts have speculated the data collected by the White House app could be used to push campaign messaging onto users, or to report them to ICE or the Secret Service. Some think it could be used to make money. https://www.washingtonsun.com/whitehouse/white-house-official-app-trump-tv-trackers

Excellent writing! Love the foreshadowing in the closing hinting at a new investigation opened circa late 2025: 🍿 "It centered on South Carolina, one of the states Navatek eyed for a rapid expansion. The FBI had questions about a steak dinner Kao shared with Sen. Lindsey Graham."

"Handala asserted that its objective was not to disrupt water service but framed the intrusion as a warning to the White House to stop U.S. military strikes on Iranian water reservoirs, which had already cut drinking water access during a heat wave for 20,000 residents."

The U.S. has long known about Iran’s cyber capabilities. Then the admin cut one third of CISA’s workforce and fired FBI personnel tracking the Iranian threat. Now hackers are targeting U.S. water systems. Jill Fields explains in Justice Connection’s Substack how we got here.

I thought it tacky when USAA, a private bank, announced their billboard/memorial on the National Mall, but for-profit patriotism is the rage in DC now. So, I ignored it. Now, USAA is informing it's customers, who chose not to opt-in, that it's adding their name to its billboard anyways. What the 🤬?

The White House just brought back letters of marque. This raises questions: "An action will be considered to generate a Critical Outcome if it is likely that it will result in the loss of life or serious injury; or, rise to the level of use of force or armed attack under international law."

You know what pisses people off at the FBI? When it's dumbass spokesperson constantly refers to it as "this FBI." When you have to distinguish the present organization from the one that existed for 117 years prior, it's not the FBI anymore. It's just the secret police. www.ms.now/news/fbi-kas...

It would be so visibly obvious as to be undeniable. Doctors may say there's a chance with therapy he'll improve. But anyone who's seen him or gone through it before would know: He'll never be the same again, and he can't function as a Senator.

This could be the unspoken truth they're using to justify the lie. He's doing well = he's conscious. We had a long conversation = I talked. He occasionally responded. He's improving = He's able to breathe and eat soft foods. Less conspiratorial than Weekend at Bernie's, but still a cover-up.

He may be alert and oriented, but only be able to speak a few simple words and phrases. His face would droop on one side. He'd occasionally cry or laugh uncontrollably. He'd need assistance with basic motor functions. He may live many more years, but he'd never lead the Senate again.
