This literally does exist. I’m just not paying attention. The “worst ones” all come from states that are already pretty bad, which is a positive… kinda, but some of these states are ok, and it would be a setback from the current situation. www.erininthemorning.com/p/the-guide-...

I wish there was a map or something like what @erininthemorning.com has that shows *just* the democrats running on anti-trans stances, or dems already passing anti-trans bills. The headlines lately feel very alarming, but it would be nice to know if this could shift states that are currently safe.

The whole thing kinda assumes that only men are socialized to hate women.

Been seeing more trans folks use TERF talking points like saying “trans women need to unlearn male socialization” or “while it’s not a slur, we should be understanding why some women would be offended by the word cis because young tumblr transes use it as an insult and ruined it.” Kinda fucked.

Kink is such a personal thing. It’s one of those things that is laden with meaning and subtly, psychologically connected to so much in a person’s life. For those who have kinks, banning things like this is such a PROFOUND violation. For no reason.

"the gays gained rights by voting for the homophobic democrats." no the democrats gained the votes of gay people when they started offering policy concessions, however slow and incremental. this also goes in reverse. offer incremental concessions to the right on trans issues and lose our support

How people respond to this is really telling. Guys, there is a difference between complicity, culpability, and innocence. These are all separate words for a reason. June was right to take this back, but Israelis are *complicit.* Specific word.

i take this back, fully retract it, and i apologize for how i phrased this. i posted this while angry at the constant barrage of years of my life witnessing senseless murder in palestine, and this is no way to express my opinion, which is an end to all conflinct in the region. i’m sorry

This reply I wrote shouldn’t be shocking to anyone. The reality here mirrors the reality in all professional spaces. If your opinion aligns with capital, it’s safer for you to take risks and be noticed. If it doesn’t, you are a target, or at risk of becoming one.

I work in local news, which is very different from national news, but any issue that has a left/right divide has a similar kind of pattern that’s painful to watch. I had too much to say for a single post so I did it as a screenshot.

I was ideating on the timeline, sorry about that. Pretty cringe. Weird thing that made me feel better: I was like “I’ll just give it a decade and see if I still want to then.” Like, in a decade things will definitely be better off, and if they aren’t… well maybe it will be worth it to consider.

I don’t like how there are trans people who look down on other trans people for being openly queer, for not wanting to eventually “cease to be trans” and just pass, never to mention it again Not only is it exclusionary of nonbinary people, it’s also sad to think of queerness as something shameful.

Many of the behaviors of homeschoolers that are *noticed* are just behaviors of neurodivergent people. You often won’t know that someone is HS’d if they’re neurotypical, they will seem normal and not announce it. Often people will totally reinterpret their view of me when they learn this about me

Like, now they have permission not to be kind to me for some reason? Like I am to blame? As though I’m not also neurodivergent, and should somehow know better than act the way I do? Someone I worked with flat-out told me they disliked me because I was homeschooled. We were both adults.

I think the most interesting parts here were left to the reader to wonder about, like how the master class doesn’t need asceticism… it makes me wonder if a certain kind of stagnation wouldn’t be inevitable if the lower classes hadn’t sought some explanation and coping mechanism for their suffering.

To simply go back to the same attitude the master class had prior to being poisoned by priestly influence doesn’t prevent the inevitable rise of another ascetic impulse. Neither ethos is sustainable on its own. It’s fascinating how prescriptive N’s language can be without prescribing anything.

Lately I’ve felt so distant from everyone. I don’t exist. I don’t have anything to say. There is no “person” here. Just a discarded thing that could have once been a person. People come across me, and they have no strong feelings in any particular way.
