We salute the @harriscodemocrats.bsky.social Resolutions Cmte for voting to advance a resolution to withhold HCDP endorsement of #MAGAmayor Whitmire, due to him fundraising for Rep Crenshaw! The guy who BOWED for us when confronted re: Medicaid cuts. Thank you precinct chairs!

When we confronted Rep Crenshaw about the MASSIVE cuts to Medicaid in the budget that *he voted for*, he took a damn BOW. That’s how little they think of us. ~1 million people in the Houston area are enrolled in Medicaid #NoCutsToMedicaid #NoTaxBreaksForBillionaires

We agitate, and protest, and advocate, in order to WIN rights and fairness for working people! We see you, NYC, FIGHTING for healthcare for your retirees! #Healthcare4ALL #WorkingClassPower

New York City retirees have won a BIG FIGHT to save their traditional Medicare benefits! On the 60th anniversary of Medicare, these organizers are serving notice that, with determination and solidarity, meaningful change is possible.

Houston! Please join us this Thursday 5/29 6pm for a town hall with Beto! We’ve invited Rep Crenshaw- if he shows up, we have MANY questions to ask about the budget he just voted for and the ~$600B in Medicaid cuts. RSVP here- www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeop...

“Medicaid recipients with earnings at or above the federal poverty line would have to pay SIGNIFICANT OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES for their HEALTH CARE coverage…” All for billionaire and corporate tax breaks #HandsOffOurMedicaid

David Dayen@ddayen.bsky.social

Let me run down some other things in the bill: • 9-year delay of the Biden safe staffing rule that ensured a minimum amount of nurses per nursing home resident. So they're paying for tax cuts by cutting down on who watches your grandma.

This right here- the estimated $500-600B cuts to Medicaid in the current budget WILL cut services. Including to the “able bodied” ppl they want to kick off, who get cancer! And injuries! #HandsOffOurMedicaid

8 years ago today, Republicans in the House voted to take away my health insurance (and that of millions of Americans). The day after my first chemotherapy. Now they're getting ready to attack our health care again.
